We had a baked potatoes and a ploughman's. Both meals were fairly basic but we fine. The coffee (Americana) was awful and possibly one of the worse I have had in the UK.

Visited on a cold Wednesday morning and given a warm welcome. Lovely coffee and tea cake served to my table. Good value, clean and smart and lovely service.

Popped in here today with a friend for a late afternoon coffee and we sat outside in the sunshine on fresh new tables. The cafe has apparently been under new management for a few months now and what a difference- the staff were friendly and pleasant, the cake choice looked delicious and our scones with jam and cream were a lovely treat. Coffee great too. We will be back!

Great to be able to use the cafe independently of the museum. Well priced scone and jam with a cuppa was much appreciated.

A mixed experience. One assistant was lovely - very polite, helpful and patient under pressure. Her colleague by contrast was a terrible sulky person who is in the wrong job and was virtually refusing to help during a busy period. There seemed to be no supervisor to "sort things out". All food semed to be bought-in and pretty mediocre.

I visited the cafe on the 6 September I popped in about 15.00 expecting to have a sandwich and was told promptly we don't do sandwiches anymore only pianees I said I don't like them, the menu was sitting on the floor I could not read it I also asked do you do fried breakfast she said no, the girl was very young had blonde hair she just did no want to know? I just walked from King's Terrace so I was desperate for something to eat there there was cake but I wanted light lunch and also told we stopped dong pots of tea only mugs I don't like mugs they to heavy for me to lift got Rhumatoid Arthritus and very weak wrists? I always enjoyed coming here for lunch or afternoon teas and fresh home made cakes etc I have not seen the museum since it was refurbished in 2018 because of the Covid 19 or the Landing CraftI hope to do those in the near future? there has always been a problem with having a light lunch over the years but now it's got terrible I would rate it no 1 because of the poor cafe facilities I certainly would not recommend it no way the staff need a training course of how to be helpful to customers and not ignor us hope we going away I hope management will read this learned lessons from it? in the end the Kiosk opposite the Canue Lake made me a lovely brown Cheese and Tomato Sandwich with a mug of tea they didn't do cups it was very welcoming and served me with a smile the lady was very obliging as well that's all it takes is to be curtious to us customers, hope you learn lessons from this in the near future? Regards Margaret Holley

Very well priced, but was not impressed with the way the owner/manager spoke to the 2 girls working there. They were clearly new and learning the job, but to speak to them for speed and simple mistakes in manner she did in front of customers was disgusting
