We are the Pompey Puddleducks, the Portsmouth branch of the National Citroen 2CV Club. We have been using this pub for many years as our monthly meeting place. Although we only meet there once a month Bill and everyone are so accomodating that we keep going back. Last month we had our Christmas meal meeting and it was brilliant as usual. All our tables had tablecloths, crackers and festive decorations. The food was excellent and served quickly and efficiently by the waitresses who knew exactly who had ordered what for each course. The chef also provided a lovely alternative for those with food allergies. Starter, main course, sweet, mince pies, mints and coffee for £25! What can I say: The plates were hot, everyone's food was hot and plentiful, the roast potatoes were crisp (unlike a lot of the corporate venues) and everything was good. Thank you.

Oh my goodness this place needs 10 stars. Service was brilliant and friendly. Food came quickly. It was hot, home made big portions and very tasty. Fresh veg and plenty of it. I’m going back for more Liver and Onions and apple pie and custard. Massive menu. We all loved our dinners. Lovely seating area outside and dog friendly. Very good prices. Thank you

Nice, clean old style pub/restaurant. Wood beam low ceilings farm house style decor. Child friendly with outdoor seating and play area, bird cage outside, tree house. Food is average, IMHO opinion just way too hot, I can assume its microwaved its so hot and my steak and Kidney pudding was hard on base and edges. Average food mains price £11 dessert £6. Good amount of parking.
