“Great little pub, a lovely atmosphere, and welcoming welcoming. Nice selection of gins, whisky ales beer and cider.. Lovely garden little sun trap with comfortable furniture. We go every time we visit Hayling and look forward to our next trip.”
“Came here for a birthday meal and only booked the day before for lunch. They were great in being able to accommodate such a large group, around 14 of us. The lady that greeted/served us was very polite, and made us feel at ease and not like we've put pressure on them. Service was very good overall and food was brought out quickly, and within the groups we were paying, as we informed them we were splitting the bill before hand. I had the pork belly for starter, and the jerk burger as a main. I cannot recommend the belly enough, perfectly executed with a lovely sauce, and sour cream which go well together with the pork. The jerk burger was nice, with lots of bell pepper and mixed salad in the bun, the chicken could have been more jerky for me but I like my heat and spice. Parking is nearby so you won't have to walk far, and you'll have great views over the bay/sea.”
“So good we ate here twice in the same day! We always come here whenever we come to Hayling for an impromptu day out. We arrived just after opening on Sunday, and was in and out nice and quickly. Chips were beautiful, battered sausages lovely and crunchy and a great amount of salt and vinegar! A rarity for a chippy! We were very happy eating it while watching the sea. After our day exploring the beaches we decided to get the same meal again to complete the day. Again brilliantly cooked and no complaints from our picky kids. Thank you very much :)”
“This is a fairly basic cafe suitable for a grabing a snack whilst on the beach. Lots of parking and good portions. Thursday night is bike night.”
“Great service, really good waffles and a decent selection of ice cream. The coffee is good too”
“Lovely food, great service and clean and tidy, highly recommend the breakfast”
“Really lovely jacket potatoes and toasties, generous portions with very fresh salad. A nice atmosphere and thank you”
“Brilliant little cafe situated next to the beach, ample parking available for motorbikes. Cars were having more issues of manoeuvring around the car park. Food was fantastic, huge portions! And very reasonably priced. Would visit again.”
“Cup of tea with a slice of cake? I don't mind if I do. The only place I go where I can get a choice of cakes, as opposed to other places where the gluten-free options are brownies or nothing at all. A nice cup of tea and a decent slice. Good job.”
“What great little pub/cafe. We had a great time. Thank you”

“We came in a group of 8 and the service was incredible. Really brightened our day as the atmosphere was lovely. The owners were so welcoming and hilarious! The food was amazing so would definitely recommend!”
“Number one place for my wife and I to eat on Hayling. Always a excellent warm welcome from Mandy, Nevil and her team. Backed up with the best food, cooked by a proper Chef. All washed down with Ales kept in perfect condition by Nevil. I recommend the Pie of the Day, with a pint of HSB. Or if its a special occasion then you can prebook from the "Special Menu", ideal for Birthdays and Anniversaries. Highly Recommended.”
“Food and service exemplary. We visited on a Saturday evening and returned the next day for Sunday roast at lunchtime, with dog in tow. Our server, Mandy, on both occasions, couldn't have been more helpful and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble; taking our requests for both drinks and food as and when, bringing them direct to the table. Would highly recommend. Thanks to Mandy and the whole team. Appreciate the service and look forward to returning another time. Best wishes, Melanie and Adrian Knowles”
“Great little bar,, Great live entertainment, food fantastic and unbelievable value for money, can't fault it, gotta give it a go”
“The cheeseboard not only looked stunning but, had everything you could want on it and more! The cocktails were delicious, you’ve got to try the raspberry ripple, it’s punchy!! Great atmosphere, friendly staff this is the place to visit on the island for a great night out, highly recommend”
“Walked to this cafe from Sinnah Warren where we were staying and to look for the ferry crossing.Small cafe with tables inside and lots outside overlooking the channel between the islands. We Ordered a bacon bap and a cheese and chutney sandwich. Both were excellent, the bacon bap was one of the best I've ever had, the bacon just melted in your mouth. It was so good here we walked here again for another cuppa and a bite to eat.”
“Good choice of food nice comfy seats friendly staff generous portions”
“Oh my goodness this place needs 10 stars. Service was brilliant and friendly. Food came quickly. It was hot, home made big portions and very tasty. Fresh veg and plenty of it. I’m going back for more Liver and Onions and apple pie and custard. Massive menu. We all loved our dinners. Lovely seating area outside and dog friendly. Very good prices. Thank you”
“Stayed here in our Campervan for the night. The food was amazing, we are vegan they had several options as well as a traditional menu, the staff really friendly and helpful, great atmosphere with live music in the bar and sport on the TVs in the areas that branch off the main area (and behind the bar as well as one in the garden) great decor as well (see photos of walls of dogs). Really great, friendly, good value pub to eat drink (good range of beers!) And relax in. Will definitely be back! Special mention to the waitress who, despite rushing around to get the food out quickly, still had time to be friendly and check that everything we had was right and we were happy with it with a smile!”
“A group of eight of us went their for a meal on Friday evening and it was bang on absolutely brilliant food, service and even rhe football banter I will definitely be having some more of that”
