Nice venue, with lovely outside seating area next to pond. Asked for Rekorderlig with a glass but the glass was dirty… asked for another one but was given another dirty glass and a dirty look as if we’d done something wrong? Music inside was pretty decent though

I came down from up north and it was meant to be a quick stop off after the Isle of Wight festival. I was only meant to stay in the area one night, but I’ve ended up staying for over a week - purely because of this pub. The staff and its regulars are a real community, like one from days of old. Not many of these places left, so let’s support them. Family-run business, beautiful outdoor area and great karaoke night too.

My family and I had a great evening here. The elvis tribute was great. My family have also attended quiz nights and they really enjoy them. Lots of space to move around, seating areas for eating. Space to hang out at the bar. Lots of space outside also. Drinks were reasonably priced, would go back again

We ate our lunch here on my sons 21st, all had fantastic food and friendly service from staff and owners, luckily they squeezed us in for a return visit next day for a beautiful new years day roast dinner! Was lovely, highly recommend, thank you.

This really is a hidden gem! The food is surprisingly excellent. Not pretentious in any way, just perfectly delicious and generous portions. My favourites are the gorgeous fish pie that they do and for Sunday lunch, the pork belly with homemade apple sauce and plenty of crackling! It’s really good and the staff are lovely too!

Good food, we were welcomed even at the late time we arrived

We had a pleasure of dining and spending an evening there last Saturday. Firstly - all three dinner courses were superb and prepared to perfection - my partner and I are still arguing what was best: the starter (calamari) or the dessert (chocolate brownie). We followed our meal with a spot of karaoke. Who knew there were so many vocal talents amongst the locals? The pub was full and the atmosphere very friendly. Overall we had fabulous time - most fun we have had in ages! Extra bonus points must be awarded for the place being dog friendly. We shall definitely be back soon!
