   Was purchasing number plates. Only one style available in store which does not match on-line ‘click and collect’. Fixing advice/guidance was lacking. Only sold one set of adhesive patches when I had purchased two plates. Also adhesion patches not suitable for winter use as require temperature not normally found in winter. Quick and reasonable price were positive aspects.

   Today I was served by Becky who was helpful beyond measure and has got to be one of the people to work for your company. If only everyone was more Becky, the world would be a much better place. And all her staff at Portsmouth are wonderful too. And I was served with a sat nav that worked pretty amazing too.....

   I'm 77 and needed car wipers fast as mine had started falling apart in the heavy rain. They had all three in stock, advised the best from a choice of makers, and fitted them quickly at a very reasonable price. Very good all-round helpful service.

   Disappointed that would not accept my Blue Light Card for the 7% of in store on products. Though advertised its strange that on my purchase of a £214 leisure battery they invoked the small print "can be withdrawn without notice at any time - tried to placate me with a £5 voucher of my purchase. Then to offer me a £4.99 a month benefit card for Halfords offers?! Also the terminal would not accept my credit card but lo accepted my debit card.? Not happy.

   Dont bother buying anything from the Portsmouth branch as after spending £2500 on bikes in the last 3 weeks and still not receiving the 3rd bike I am then cancelling due to the lack of customer care and poor attitude from the staff member!!! No understanding of why I was slightly fed up after the bike being delayed by 5 days to then be called and told we have no idea when it will be ready bla bla bla!! customer service score ZERO!!!!! and he didn't bat an eye when I politely said cancel the order then

   Battery replacement fitted. My battery needed replacement I opted for a fitted service, my battery connections had mild corrosion on. The store manager refused to allow his operative to clean the terminals with some wire wool, emery cloth or wet and dry! I had to purchase this separately and clean the terminals myself. Surly best practice is to present clean metal surface for a good connection. Manager was not customer focused at all.

   My car warning indicator stated that the battery was charging correctly. I reviewed the details online and suspected it may be time to replace it. Went to Halfords to get it tested and the technician carried out a thorough check, but also stated I could go for a long drive to regenerate the charge. (No hard sell) The price was higher than expected but weighed up my options and decided to get it changed. The technician Kieran was meticulous, quick and polite; despite being told there was a delay due to a queue my car was sorted and I was on my way. The branch in Ocean Retail Park has always been helpful and today was no different. Well done and many thanks
