We were first time visitors. The lunch menu was extensive with a number of interesting options. The service was both excellent and friendly. The meal was very good value for money. Definitely worth a repeat visit perhaps for the Christmas menu.

A proper pub, good priced food, great availability of drinks. Always a nice atmosphere. All staff very pleasant and attentive. Mel landlady so helpful and always so happy. You get served fast and no hanging about waiting for bar service, properly staffed, unlike other pubs in area. This is the place to go in Hill head, lots of friendly locals. Best place to stop on way back from beach, particularly after a good windsurf. Highly recommended.

We love the Crofton. It’s our local pub, but it does the best food in the village with the friendliest staff. Also offers a great range of different ales, lagers and ciders on rotation so you can try something new on every visit. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Food was fantastic although the veggie menu was quite limited. Lovely helpful staff and great place to eat. Will be definitely going back again

Food and staff are good, but felt the place needs a good clean and decorate. Menus have spillages and not wipeable. The tables and chairs need upgrading as in a poor state. It doesnt look fresh or clean. Shame really as like i say the food and staff are great.

Last minute change of venue to dine and WOW. The staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive but not in your face. There is an amazing set menu with lots of dishes that have been tried and tested plus a specials board. We both had the beef bourguignon from the specials board which was amazing and they even catered for our individual vegetable choices. Definitely a go to pub which has a lovely friendly locals vibe to it.

Nice atmosphere, great service, awesome beer selection! Didn't try the food, but they looked to have a mouthwatering menu. Worth a visit!

Second time eating here after friends bought us here a couple of weeks ago . We live local so decided we wanted to bring some friends here to , even though they live in Waterlooville and don't drive we did a round trip to bring them . I've had the liver both times and it was delicious..... Would definitely recommend.....
