I was apprehended infront of the whole pub and told I was carrying illegal drugs. I have a medical prescription for cannabis and I get it still smells but they need to change the way they approach people the old lady embarrassed me infront of the whole pub and made me out to be a criminal which ruined my partners birthday. We went and sat in the garden to avoid any further false persecution. They need to be trained on the fact that it's medically legal and has been for over ten years maybe change how they approach people. The other barmaid was lovely but it completely ruined our night. It's funny isn't it the worse drugs aren't so easily identified but the plant which makes you calm and polite is unfortunately so easily distinguished.

I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience here. While waiting in the queue, I was repeatedly skipped over despite making eye contact with the young girl serving, several times. People who had just entered, or were behind me, were served before me. This went on for quite some time, and it was very clear when the young server even asked the man behind me for his order, completely ignoring me. Thankfully, that man himself pointed out that I had been waiting far longer and should be served first. This experience felt discriminatory and left me deeply uncomfortable. No one should face such treatment. It’s a real shame, and I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to ensure no customer ever feels excluded or disrespected in this way again. And this is only for that young girl who was serving alcohol yesterday. Other staff was polite and welcoming.

Popped in after going in a horrible pub full of smelly dogs! What a joy, beautiful traditional pub, well kept and clean. Pride is taken in the premises here. The locals and us starting chatting and we felt at home and very welcome. It was a few weeks back on a short break from Bournemouth. We are going to return to sspend longer than just an hour. Worth the journey thank you for your amazing hospitality

Great little island pub in the top of Cowes town. Great service too. Very popular in the summer months like most pubs in the area, especially during Cowes Week. Has live bands playing too from time to time.

Lovely pub with very reasonable prices and the staff are lovely and friendly. Dog friendly pub. Traditional pub with a meat raffle! You don’t see this much anymore and is a locals pub with an eclectic clientele.
