Stumbled on this place and what a find, proper old skool boozer, lively and friendly. Definitely coming back.
Just like the planet, very little atmosphere
Tucked away just behind the main shopping area. Nice to see an independent back street pub still popular and doing well with so many closing. Run by the same lovely family for over 4 decades.

Empty pub. Had just two old age pensioners inside. The whole pub has only 3 tables. However the older barmaid was lovely and welcoming and encouraged me to stay which was nice. However when the miserable young very large barmaid took over she was miserable and made me wait over 10 minutes as she was more intrested in serving children sweets than serving me. I gave up and left. Went to the pub next door. I won't be returning purely down to the miserable attitude of the barmaid.
Good locals pub with a warm welcome. Girl behind the bar was polite and efficient. Had large screen tv , and was showing horse racing which makes a change . Had a couple of pints which were very reasonably priced. Place to have a good chat , will be back.
