What a gem, absolutely fantastic. Admittedly the place is small but this only adds to the atmosphere and the choice of ales reminds me of the days of great breweries such as Gales, Hook Norton and Adnams. Greene King seem to be the only decent hyper-brewer nowadays and it is micro-pubs such as this place that will keep the demand for real well brewed ales alive. May good fortune and health follow all of your endeavours

You were so cool when my granddaughter dropped and broke her glass. You sorted it without fuss. We were gathered as an annual family get together and really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks.

Fantastic and very welcoming Real Ale pub. Always a great selection of beer available. All the staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable and will take the time to help you find a beer the suits your preferences. Can get busy at peak times but it only adds to the great atmosphere and, if anything, reassures you how good this pub really is. Plus only a short walk (5 mins) from the local train station. Definitely worth a visit!!

West Street Alehouse is the best beer spot in Fareham! The owners and staff are super knowledgeable and friendly, the selection of beers is always excellent, and the vibe is always good. Not only do they have excellent beers on tap, they also have a bottle shop where you can buy beers to take home. They always have offerings from local breweries too, so by supporting this local alehouse you're supporting loads of breweries.

Fantastic little pub, a real welcome addition to Fareham. Great selection of beers which changes regularly and friendly and knowledgeable owners and staff. A welcoming atmosphere for regulars and not so regulars. The toiletries and sanitary products in the toilet are a nice detail, and show how much the owners want their customers to feel welcome and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Fantastic bar with knowledgeable staff who are passionate about what they do. Kat in particular is extremely warm and friendly, even when we have pushed time and last orders to their elastic limits. There are always a wide range of beers on sale, including seasonal specials like mulled cider, and special events such as comedy and board game nights. I have been visiting on a weekly basis for 2 years, and always have a great time.
