Poor quality work that calls their competence into question. Vauxhall Astra booked in (06/2025) to investigate excessive loss of engine oil. After a cursory 30 minute investigation they 'assumed' that high mileage equated to worn pistons/rings. They did not even consider that a worn PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve was the problem, as turned out to be the root cause. Very disappointed. Follow up comment on the interesting emphatic, but incorrect, recollection of the 'owner'. The FACTS are these: 1. You DID CHARGE ME (see Invoice 5722). 2. The vehicle was booked in for the whole day, but you decided (after 30 minutes) that the car was basically a 'write-off' due to 'worn pistons/rings' & phoned & told me so. 3. There is no evidence of a 'compression test' being done, so I can only conclude you ASSUMED worn pistons/rings due to the age & mileage of the car. Do please let me know if you would like me to upload a photo of the original invoice.
Had work done on my van, the work was carried out very professionally, the guys there are friendly and helpful and do not overdo charge and it's excellent workmanship
Booked my vehicle in for a diagnostic due to a fault with my front parking sensors. Within two hours I received a call to advise they had found the fault and fixed it for me! Excellent service and very friendly! Will definitely be back and will be recommending to friends and family! Thank you again!

Worse garage ever, took it to them as car is under warranty, told them there was something wrong with the heater and their reply was "the heater?" Like they don't know what a heater is so off to a good start, got the car back after being told the issues were fixed only to find the knocking noise was still happening took it back in and within 5 minutes of leaving the garage was asked to pick my car up as there's nothing wrong with it! Just been to another garage who have confirmed there is something wrong with it. The mechanic at Griffin seemed moody and unhelpful both times I visited which didn't give me much faith in the garage.
Absolutely top notch! One of those rare car garages where you know they are not only honest but highly competent. They'll make an assessment of what needs to be done and give you great timescales - they get the job done! Can't find any fault with them
A friendly open service, nothing too much trouble, always a competitive price. I've been using Griffin Motors for the last 10 years or so and have only good things to say. Highly recommend !
