   I love this place. The atmosphere is so chilled. The staff are first class and the owner is the cheeriest chap you will come across west of the River Hull. Easy to sit and chill with a few drinks in the sun trap garden at the back but you have to try the food, that is what will make you go back.

   I have eaten here 3 times and I have always had a great experience. Welcoming environment, Yannis a great host, Mata a great chef, and a shout out to David with amazing service. Food is fresh (which is rare nowadays), vibrant, feels homemade and it is delicious...seems like you're eating at their home. Great costumer service, great environment and delicious food. It is to me one of the best restaurants in Hull, without a doubt. Can't wait to go back again.

   It was a long time coming, yet as the old saying goes, "good things come to those who wait"! Mata and Yiannis are back, and this time at their own place! Expect to be greeted by Yiannis' characteristically embullient and welcoming Greek hospitality, 'filoxenia'. Of course, this is the only place where you can find, the now renowned, Mata's mediterranean signature cuisine. It continuous to remain reliably eclectic, yet with a fresh and appetising familiarity. Look out for the deliciously scrumptious plat du jour. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, there's always something new to discover. Selection of coffee; sweets, gateaux, cocktails and carefully selected wines.

   A lovely place for a coffee, lunch, or dinner. The food was very good and the chef and staff couldn't be more welcoming and attentive. I'm giving the food 4 stars as I haven't tried more of the menu, but what I've had was great.
