unbelievable. 30 munute wait for hot food. So ordered a scone and jam and went to get some water. One jug empty and could only get half a glass out of the other. Sat at table with friends and waited 15 minutes for scone to arrive with MARMALADE! No knives in self service caddys, so had to ask for some. Friends rea arrived but with no cup! A group of us meet up in Hull each year and every year we hope the cafe has improved. However will no go again

This cafe is fab! Situated in the Ferens Art Gallery it is light and spacious with a variety of seating and table options. Find a seat then order at the counter from the extensive drink and food options, including some really yummy gluten free cakes etc. They also have a hot drinks card which when filled entitles you to a free hot drink. Service is really good; the staff are professional and friendly and keep the cafe spotless. Good access for wheelchairs and prams. The toilets are a little way away from the cafe but on the same floor (ground floor).

A brilliant cafe serving some fabulous food. For a cafe, it's arguably the best in town. Inside the art gallery, which is well worth a mooch around. The food is plentiful and hot and tasty. There's always some offer on and most food is home made. Went in with family, and I had scampi with chips n side salad. The wife had a tuna jacket, salad, and homemade slaw. Her daughter had chicken goujon sandwich chips n slaw. The mother-in-law had tuna sandwiches, salad, slaw, and a portion of chips. I had a beer, and rest had soft drinks even though wine is available. The lot came to 30 notes, which is great for 4 of us. Staff are a little short but were very attentive and extremely helpful. Plenty of seating and even outside, weather permitting. A great place for lunch. We'll worth a visit.

A visual treat and a good coffee from Julia at the cafe as a bonus. I do hope the £20M facelift of Princes Quay includes a facelift from the museum's outlook?

Another enjoyable visit to Ferens Art Gallery and Cafe. Good food and service from always friendly staff capped off by a look at the gallery which always has something interesting to offer.

Came for the afternoon tea here in February and it was great. You have to ring ahead and ask for it, but it was lovely food in a lovely setting.

Fab, central location. Located inside Ferens art gallery at the back. Entrance to the gallery is free, and definitely worth a meander before and /or after eating. The actual cafe has friendly staff who can't do enough for you. Lovely venue, and selection of hot and cold food and drinks. Seating indoor or outdoor, and availability of unisex and disabled toilets.
