Second time coming to Dacre Arms after many years. The food quality is absolutely amazing and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, getting us a last minute table between reservations when we just rocked up on a busy Sunday. Highly recommend.
Food ok but nowhere good as previous visit. Tried to call all morning to book Phone not answered so took a chancevandcset off ti have our Sunday lunch. Om arrivingbl place looked pretty full, however we asked at bar and they were able to fit us in. I questioned if right phone number was on website? I asked lady behind bar if that was the right number for the pub. she was dissmissive and said thed been busy as the phone rung several times and was left unanswred as we talked. We went to food order station and ordered 2 large size beef dinners. We waited an hour and when they did turn up they was standard sized. We was hungry so ate them couldnt wait any longer. No on came to check on us to ask if all ok. Average today nothing doecisl andcwont be returning. Shame time before was faultless. This time rubbish.
Loverly food. Not carvery, which is what I'd searched Google for, but that's not fault of the pub! However, excellent portion sizes, great food, well cooked meat and they were super-helpful in swapping the meat for halloumi as my veggie son didn't like the veggie option on the menu. Absolutely packed with people clearly enjoying celebrations with family/friends but didn't stop our table feeling comfortable and private. Very good value, we'll definitely go again. It's advisable to book in advance...it's clearly popular
Wow!!!!!!! Some of the best food we have had in ages . The staff were so friendly as soon as you walk through the door and could not do enough for you . Such a clean and tidy place , from the bar , seats to the toilets. The food was absolutely amazing . Cooked perfectly and the portion size is big. A big must, up grade your chips to chunky ones. They are so tasty and it ls like having roast potatoes but in a chp. The steak was cooked perfectly and the large Yorkshire puddings are massive. The steak pie was absolutely stacked with meat . Can't wait to come back and eat again next time we are around here . Food is fairly priced for the amount you get . 10/10 ( Millie who served us was amazing ).
Food was great. Would recommend. Id ask to sit in either the main room or the bar for better atmosphere. The older waitress was delightful and supper friendly. Would return!
Brilliant food. good choice. Very reasonably priced. Staff polite and helpful. I was just a little disappointed with the decor not very exciting

A fine place to go for a meal. Good pub food, friendly helpful staff but you need to reserve a table for busy times like Sunday lunch. Reasonable prices in these costly times.
The Dacre Arms staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We needed to use the venue for family gathering and although they could not provide a buffet suggested we use the Archers Bakery in the village (I fully recommend Archers Bakery as well). We had a space reserved in the Dacre Arms and this allowed us to all meet with a space for the buffet. The pub was clean and the staff very friendly. The food that they were serving to their customers looked delicious and there was a good selection of drinks available. Plenty of comfortable indoor seating. I will visit again with my family. Thank You Dacre Arms for your hospitality.
It's a nice enough place, however, not very warm inside and the food is good. Portion sizes are a bit small for the cost and it took some time for food to come out. We had to ask. And when 1 of 3 meals was sent back, it took ages to get back. Only a couple of ales available. We wasn't told about the specials board until after our meal. The desserts were very nice though, so good that I had one.. would we go back, probably not.
