Great pub with decent prices and lovely people who are very accommodating. Would recommend for a place to get some good food and a decent pint.
Lovely traditional pub with a range of handpulls, lagers and real ciders. Always a warm welcome, even if your dog decides to kick off at the landlord's dog!!!! Make a trip and feel like you've stepped back in time (in a good way).
Fantastic morning at The Ship Inn. Brilliant breakfast and lovely stout. Great pub, recently found but, top of my list. Best by far. Been numerous times since. Brilliant pub, ever changing cast of beers and stout. Brilliantly run by Dean and Neil, great staff and lovely clientele. Don’t miss out on it @ Hodgson Street, HU8 7EY.
Cracking pub this is you like proper ciders like I do, there were 6 on when I visited. Very friendly staff and customers. Its located on Hodgson Street which is a side street off New Cleveland Street and wouldn't expect to see a pub there as it surrounded by industrial businesses. It was a bitterly cold day when I visited so it was great to see they hade a lovely real fire burning. I have added a few 360 degree photos of the pub for Google Streetview so you have a look inside and in the beer garden. Well worth a visit if your in Hull.
Finally made it to The Ship. What a great little friendly pub. Excellent stouts on tap, the chocolate brownie one was lush. Wish I'd known about the Friday fish & chip meal thing (you need to order by Thursday) as it was ENORMOUS & smelled divine. They do big Sunday breakfast for a tenner, again pre-order required. Will definitely be back to this little local gem. Thanks for the hospitality :)
Lots of banter, beer and a banging breakfast on a Sunday. A brilliant boozer.
Thought it would be more olde world instead there's a glaring fridge in the lounge if it could be classed as a lounge. If you like olde world pubs give this one a miss.

Hidden gem in Hull, very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Good beers and real cider!
