Good selection. But feels dirty. Staff at self service more focused on phones than helping and when they do ignore/say basic manners.

There's a multistorey carpark; height 1.9M. . The lift wasn't working. . There is also a ground level carpark. F knows how one accesses the ground level carpark; from South of town maybe?

The parking area is good, with plenty of space, easy payment, and reasonable, reliable prices. However, every time I go to the second floor, the lifts are not working. This is not safe or practical for families with prams, as it becomes very difficult to take a baby down the stairs. This issue really needs to be fixed to make the parking safer and more accessible.

Visited in September 2025. An easy to navigate store, though dingier than some of the newer branches. Good stock levels too. What really impressed me was Sue's polite and upbeat customer service on the self-service check outs. A credit to the company.

I’m not one to leave negative reviews but I can’t help but feel obligated to say something. The first problem is that I’ll go to tesco and have a plan in mind for dinner for the next few nights. Whether it is fajitas, chilli, or just pasta. However, they seem to lack the basic ingredients for these “typical” meals, it’s a joke. I’ll go in there, no peppers, no blueberries, no tomatoes, no basil, no tzatziki yet they’ll have multiple versions of humous and sour cream and chive dip. Not to mention that they have 3 different types of fresh chillies but all have the same strength! It doesn’t appear to have the smaller packs of mince either which isn’t ideal for a university student that lives alone. Secondly, the quality of the food is not great. Not only are they charging so much money for their chicken breast but if you look inside the package it looks like it’s been flung around the floor and hit with a rolling pin, vile. The queues are also a joke, I’ll be there waiting for absolutely ages while my food is going warm. The Tesco staff are nice from what I’ve experienced, however, there is never an apology or any sort of response to the queues. You’re just expected to line up down the isles waiting aimlessly. The self checkout area is a nightmare with people going there with shopping trolleys not having a clue how the system works.

Neglected aging store. Staff are still thin on the ground and no priority at all given to manning tills. Remember "If there is ever more than one customer in front of you, we'll open another checkout"? Queues at peak times are utterly ridiculous. Shoplifting is clearly rife as security tags and bags on vast array of products. Deli gone. Hot counter gone. Cafe gone. Atmosphere gone. Service levels gone. Several staff members I know have left the company due to the way they are treated at this store, which goes some way to explain lack of engagement by most staff. 27th Jan. No eggs. Aldi price match advertising on many own brand products, but original price charged at the till. Kiosk open but serving people with shopping who are avoiding the always long checkout queue rather than serving people actually needing kiosk products. One star rating still sadly applies.

I wont Say much... But i have never nowhere else seen Such a rude Staff, its not only one, but the whole team there looks like its a big punishment for them to be there, trust me dont ask any of them for help, because you wont get any. They are not even bothered to help and Point it out. Instead of going and showing, its easier to say "if its not there, we May sold out". Ewww, ewwww, ewwww, well, there is much more, but i think People said that for me in different comments.

Two Saturdays in a row I have had to do my Tesco shop in your Commercial Road store and have so far been very disappointed by your lack of putting customers first especially at the checkouts, there was only two open ques of people at the two Checkouts and self service tills. I have been informed you are trying to do more self service tills which I for one don't want simply because it puts staff out of a job. Bring back good customer service which your lacking at the moment very disappointed. Considering not shopping with you anymore. Have shopped with you for over 30 years.
