   I've shopped at this store since it opened not the cheapest but convenient, last and final time I was in there I got to the checkout the young woman serving was scanning my stuff through when she got to the last item mash ,said it has no code storms off comes back with another one which she literally slams down on the counter ,I said to her have I done something to upset you when she goes into a rant about her being nice getting the mash and I should be grateful then says that's it I'm not serving you I get people like you in here all the time ,I said people like me? I'm a regular customer she says unpack your shopping now or I'll get you arrested for shoplifting !! I was stunned I've never stolen anything in my life recently retired after 52 years working ,I said I want to see your manager she said they won't do anything we don't want people like you in our shop ! So I now shop at Tesco up the road cheaper better clubcard points but best of all the staff are really nice and helpful !

   Watched a shoplifter stealing goods from this store on 9 July 2025 at around 1.35. The manager came down from his office and walked round to the aisle where this was happening. The thief wore v distinctive clothing - a black tracksuit with a large white design on the side of the hood and the sleeve. The hood was up despite the intense heat so he looked suspicious. As I was leaving the shop he was running towards the entry gates with the manager observing him. He had to squeeze out through some trolleys as I was blocking the gates. I followed him up the road to Kingsway House taking photographs. He entered there to the cheers of his friends sitting on the steps. I went back to the shop to tell an assistant I had the photos. She said it was ok as they were on the CCTV. Since the CCTV is inside the store I reported this to the police. They said they were unable to confirm this with the store so the case is closed. I have been a loyal customer of this branch for decades, but no more. Fed up with watching shoplifters run out. Will shop elsewhere in future.

   My experience was very bad earlier this evening . Service was appalling around 6.15. The rude person claiming to be manager was actually laughing about the amount of frustrated customers that had given up and walked out , hard to believe that such an irresponsible person could be left in charge.

   Not great. The majority of the staff are patronising, argumentative, disinterested and grubby. The store is filthy and requires a complete staff overhaul and renovation. I rarely use the store but when I have to, I am reminded of why I rarely use it.

   Rude lady wouldn’t sell me a red bull (soft drink with caffeine, no alcohol) because I didn’t have ID. I am a 23 year old man with a full beard. Shop is too expensive to have bad customer service, won’t bother going back

   I recently visited this CoOp and to my suprise i was served by a lovely French lady who could,nt do enough for me ,after the shoddy way i was treated by other members of staff due to the fact i meet this wonderfull lady whose name i think is Michelle , i would not have returned ,but now shop there everyday ,except for buying anything from the Bakery which was distcustingley dirty , You should employ more people like Michelle

   This is my local store, every single employee of the store is extremely helpful, bar one! There is a 60 something french lady (just guessing, she could from somewhere else… but she’d deny it was her either way) that is quite literally the rudest woman I have ever met in my life. During covid , I have had countless sneers and coments towards myself and my children which are exempt from masks due to health reasons. She not only refuses to serve, she tries to embarrass us. I am absolutely disgusted with that kind of treatment and I’ve not received it anywhere else. To loudly mock and announce to colleagues and customers that somebody isn’t wearing a mask for legitimate reasons is diabolical behaviour. I’m really upset with this woman, especially since she seems to brow beat others into agreeing with her. Absolutely disgusting

   Visit this shop on a regular basis and had no issues, however, recently, I have found the staff are not very friendly. Had a bad experience where the lady on the till completely ignored me, didnt say “hello” or “thankyou” once! Think the staff here need some customer service training as it can really affect someones shopping experience!
