Held my late Grandfathers wake here. Very pleased with how the afternoon went. We had the back room with a bar and access to the garden. Food was great. Would definitely hire this venue for future events. Thank you.

My wife and I rarely venture out on a night these day, pubs and clubs are a thing of the past. But this visit was at the request of the daughter of a very good, late, friend of ours. A traditional type of pub, of which our room has been, so I believe, a previous concert room. This time it was just a DJ on the stage but there was a decent area on which to dance. That was if you didn't mind some youngsters using it as a playroom. A buffet was available, in a room off the main room, so plenty of room to move about. The bar staff cope well with the amount of patrons and the price of drink were reasonable. It was a night of catching up with old friends, some we hadn't seen for quite a while. We didn't stay until the end as we were tiring. As a function room in this pub no complaints. A decent car park and the gents toilets were reasonably clean. A good night in a good atmosphere.
The Springhead is a legendary live music venue. Previously voted one of the best music pubs in the country. This big pub has a wide choice of beers and lagers sadly no cask conditioned real ale. There is a function room, traditional bar with a pool table and concert room with a stage and bar. Outside there is a large secluded grassed beer garden with goal posts. Events are arranged in the summer I've been to a couple of classic motorcycles shows here. Friendly welcoming staff a good pub definitely worth a visit.
We had our engagement party here and the venues really big and have the big garden to go out into aswell and great prices for the rooms, staff was lovely they was very flexible for us to come in and decorate. It was a great night.
Drinks are relatively cheap here, staff are friendly and helpful and as it was a party we were attending, there was a substantial buffet provided. Only very small complaint and as I was driving a coffee would have been nice but it was not available, but overall would go again.

The Springhead is a lovely pub with great music with the Frank Cleveland Big Band every other Monday from 8.30pm till 10.45. The Pub will be refurbished in a few weeks time to the highest standards . The next gig will be on the the 7th. May. 2018.
