We were given great customer service & Richard went thru the steps to find our ideal mattress,combined with the unique technology provided in store.     Excellent service at Bensons for Beds Southsea in the Pompey Centre. Staff there are extremely helpful and the choice of beds is huge all at reasonable cost. Highly recommended for bed purchases. 10 out of 10.

    We bought the penelope bed frame king size, explaining that we did not have the keys to our new home and we would get the keys in 2 weeks. So we did not know if the frame would fit in the room. When we got the keys, we discovered that the bed frame would fit but leave only 2cm space, se we went back to change the bed frame with Anya model which is much smaller in size. But we were told there would be 20%cut from the price of the bed frame we were cancelling. And then they could not give an estimated time for delivery and could not say if they could deliver the mattress at the date we had initially selected. After waiting for a few more days, we were informed that the mattress can be delivered at the expected date and we would not actually need to pay the 20% but we just have to pay the difference and a £33 fee for changing order. So, not well managed. I just hope they send the correct size -king size for the bed frame. I did specifically ask to double check it because I am still not convinced that the order is correct, but we shall see.

    As I entered the store I was greeted by a warm welcome from Lewis Llewelyn. He asked if I was just looking or would like some help, I chose the latter and for the next 40 minutes I got all the help I needed after snuggling on the very many beds I tried. Lewis asked what mattress I had now and what was I looking for, his knowledge and professionalism was outstanding. I found him friendly, as a loan female I felt comfortable. Once the mattress was chosen, Lewis then went through the cost what additional offers were available, which I did choose without any sales pressure. I am a disabled lady and Lewis showed the upmost respect for my disability, asking could he help get on and off the beds or standing back whenever I did not need help. The whole experience was one of joy, elated that I had been able to make the journey to choose a mattress and to have Lewis there to help me make that choice.

    The staff at the branch were very helpful and efficient, sorting out the issue I found that ordering online gave you a free bedside table, buying in the branch didn’t. However, the customer service failed badly on the issue of removing our old mattress, for which we paid an extra fee. The branch doesn’t have the recycling bags so we were told one would be sent and it was made clear that the mattress would only be removed in a the bag. Despite numerous phone calls to very polite customer advisors, it never arrived. We were told one would be on the lorry when our order was delivered. It wasn’t. Bensons please note, the deliverers said THEY NEVER CARRY RECYCLING BAGS. We were concerned that, if left with our old mattress, we’d have had to refuse delivery and cancel our order as there would be nowhere for it to go but, luckily, the deliverers managed to use the wrapping from the new mattress to cover the old one enough to take it away. Bensons need to be very grateful to these deliverers.

    Rude manager in Scotland. Reassured me that thr new mattress is going to be delivered a few hours ago after they picked up the old one. But they didn't,so I had to convince them to send me back the old dirty mattress to sleep in. Rude management

    Shop staff were brilliant, can’t fault them at all. What let you down was the fact we had 2 cancelled deliveries, yes you let us know but both times was the day before delivery, after we had sorted out work leave etc. Then when we check for the next & thankfully the fulfilled delivery, (attempt number 3, 4 months after ordering) the shop guy says that the vans are normally loaded in good time, sometimes a week in advance so there shouldn’t have been an excuse for letting us know so late..

    Customer service was amazing. Treated like royalty. We were asked to lay on a bed which measures the contact of your body with the mattress and is then adjusted to different settings to find which mattress will improve the quality of your sleep. Leigh, who looked after us really knew her stuff and went above and beyond to find the most appropriate mattress to meet our needs. Mattress is not due to arrive until the end of December but fingers crossed it is as brilliant as the customer service. Thanks Leigh :)
