“We visited Gaylord Antiques to look for a small chest of drawers which we did find and subsequently purchase. Ian and Lynda could not have been any more pleasant. They were so very knowledgeable and extremely helpful and it was a pleasure to purchase from them. The customer service was 100% but the only 'downside' is that, unfortunately, our house isn't large enough to accommodate any more items of their fabulous furniture. If you are looking for authentic antiques then I would highly recommend a visit to the showroom. I had also mentioned to Ian that I had a problem with an antique chest of drawers which I already own and he could not have been more helpful. He talked me through exactly what I needed to do and even wrote a list for me which detailed how to undertake the small repair job. This goes over and above any customer service which you would ever receive in any other store. Thank you both so very much and we will certainly purchase from you again and also recommend you to anyone we know who may be looking to purchase quality antiques. We couldn't be more happy.”

“The best place by far if you're in Portsmouth and after a kitchen. Any reputable kitchen fitter will have a Howdens account. In terms of quality, Howdens arrive pre assembled and really well packaged. Solid backs on the base units, Blum hinges and internals are exceptional quality. A huge range of styles to fit most budgets Plus they do decent flooring, some excellent value doors, skirting, architrave etc .best of all is the service. They're great everywhere but exceptional in Portsmouth. If you're after a kitchen you'd be mad to not give them a look”

“I would 100% recommend The Oak Bed Store. I called them in the morning to ask if it would be possible to come in for a viewing and I was able to view the beds I wanted, choose, pay and drive away with my new bed in the car within an hour. The team were wonderfully friendly and seemed really passionate about what they were doing. This is a small family-run company and I felt really well looked after, more so than if I had visited one of the big chains. My new bed is absolutely incredible. I previously had a metal monstrosity that creaked and rattled with every movement. This is no longer an issue as my new oak bed is completely silent. The bed was easy to put together and I absolutely love the appearance of it. I was able to take advantage of two offers, one for joining the company’s mailing list and another for sending them a picture of my built bed for their customer gallery. This reduced the price of my chosen bed by £20, which I really appreciated. Overall, this was a fantastic buying experience!”
