Comfortable hotel with very clean rooms and dining room. The bar area looks a bit tired but staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel is very well positioned for exploring Chichester which is a lovely city.

An atmospheric old (200 years) building, but the rooms are modern with superb en-suite bathrooms. Located on the edge of the town centre, a ten minute walk gets you wherever you want to go. All the staff were lovely, but special mention has to be made of Alice, in the HarSpa. My wife and I both had massages, and Alice was brilliant. We both felt so relaxed and revitalised afterwards it was the uplifting moment of our stay.

Stayed in room 10. The room was lovely, however significantly smaller than the same grade of room my family members stayed in. I wouldn't recommend this room when there's an event on in the hotel, as this room is directly above the event space. There's no sound proofing between floors, so the disco music was extremely loud in the room. The floor was vibrating with the loud bass and the music and DJ could very clearly be heard. There was no chance of enjoying the room until the music stopped - not great for the price paid! Reception staff were sympathetic, but unable to provide any help - this is clearly a known problem. Other hotel facilities are lovely, but I wouldn't stay again.

Visited as a couple for afternoon tea earlier this week. It was a delightful experience, would recommend on any basis for those looking for a spot for afternoon tea. Staff were all friendly, helpful and professional. The artwork on display in the resturant was fantastic. The food was great, boxes were provided for leftovers which were enjoyed at home. Hot drinks were never allowed to run out by the attentive resturant staff.

Excellent check-in experience. Rooms very clean and with most items that you could need. Complimentary gin in the room was a nice touch, not sure if tonic was free though. Excellent dining experience for evening meal. Not giving 5 stars for room because bathroom sink emptied way too slowly and no iron in room...little things, but. Was not expecting a 10 pound fee for parking, but may have missed that in the small print. Lovely experience and lovely staff.

We had a lovely one night stay, for which we got upgraded from a standard double to a superior double, free of charge with complimentary Gin and Sherry. We had chosen breakfast included which was nice and which could have been brough to our room upon demand. We would definitely come again at a time where the spa is opened.

Great first impressions at reception who was very helpful but there were letdowns with a lumpy bed, shower head that I had to duck under to get wet (I'm an average 6 foot). bar and restaurant staff were friendly but a little clueless when asked questions. The car park is small and we were lucky to get the last space. I ordered an 8oz burger from the menu and what appeared seemed rather smaller. Overall a pleasant stay unfortunately marred by details.

I had the best massage given by Yasmin I think her name was. She was exceptionally skilled and I've been thinking about it for weeks since I had it. She was a delightful person with a very kind, calm, and focused on giving the best experience in the treatment. I can't recommend having a massage with her there enough. The spa itself has been having some works done, so i've still not managed to enjoy that aspect of it, but I hope to soon. It's a beautiful building and quality, calming and serene spa interior from what I experienced. I even came away with some lovely mini trial products which I enjoyed in the treatment. Yasmin will go a long way and I hope to come back for another lovely treatment, spa experience and maybe to enjoy a meal in the beautiful restaurant.

Imagine arriving and finding out your booking is at the wrong hotel, well this happened to me, but John on the front desk went above and beyond to get everything sorted for me. John was incredible, he saw I was stressed and put me at ease and even arranged a beautiful upgrade for my nights stay. John is an asset to the business, what a wonderful human being and thank you to Chichester harbour hotel for my private cottage
