   Writing on behalf of a friend, however they had payed for 2 nights but as they had no ID the lodge refused to let them stay, still no sign of a refund after contacting both the online booking service and calling the lodge themselves both are sending me back to each other!! Personally I'd stay away as this is the 3rd person I know who has been scammed money and left woth nowhere to go in the last 2 months

   Partner was put here for work and I thought I'd never hear the end of it. From the gut rotting smell throughout the place, the dead bugs in the rooms, the general shabby appearance and noise through the 'lodge' it seemed like a week of hell for him. The staff he encountered were very rude and despite the place being booked and paid for by his work, he will never be going back. Staff also tried to take a £20 deposit per person from the three lads booked into separate rooms upon their stay which was refused by them. Unsure what the deposit could possibly be for in such a run down place? It could be burned to the ground and be better than how it currently is!

   Booked a room here for my husband and the experience could not have been worse, firstly they tried to say it wasn’t him on his drivers licence when he showed ID, this was after I had prepaid the room on my card, finally after sorting this they went to the room, it was like something from a horror film when he face timed me, there was also no TV remote in the room so he couldn’t watch television, fast forward to today - Friday (5 days later) still no security deposit returned, I phoned them and they told me that when he vacated the property there was no TV remote, so they will not return the deposit and I have ultimately been charged for this remote being stolen. Rooms are filthy, bedding was filthy, the man on reception was rude and anything but helpful, please do yourselves a favour and do NOT stay here. I don’t know who is writing these good reviews but it doesn’t even deserve the one star it already has.

   Clean and basic. What I expected. Warm room, comfortable bed. Handy location, car parking is very welcome. Curtains were too small for the very large windows so I was woken by the sun rise. Would stay again.

   I had an emergency and had to stick over here. The man in reception was very kind. Rooms are very dates but spotless. There's some noose from other guests but all quiet by 10pm. Located near to the ferry and gosport town centre.

   I booked the Acorn Lodge late Thursday afternoon.. I was greeted by Andrew who was very welcoming and very helpful.. The room was very clean along with the bathroom and I had the choice of three beds. It was everything I wanted for my 2 night stay.. Great car park at rear which was a real bonus. I Would recommend the Acorn Lodge which is close to shops, restaurants and the ferry in Gosport.

   Just returned from two nights away staying here, stayed twice before greeted by Andrew very courteous and helpful. For the money its clean and comfortable all we needed. We had to point out that several lights were not working and needed bulbs. Also we asked for extra pillows. The room could do with a microwave and cutlery so if we wanted to eat in we would be able too.But as always a pleasant stay.

   Loverly staff couldnt be more helpfull, very close to all the shops. The room was clean and tidy. Bathroom en suite very fresh and new. Staff were very accomodating and friendly good central location to gosport ferry. Fiona and terry arnold.

   My partner and I recently stayed here for a longer than planned stay. The staff were very accommodating to our needs. The room was always clean tidy and most importantly warm. Clean towels and bath mats were provided daily with no questions. The towels were always made up into different designs which after a hard day or night at work brought a smile to our faces. Daniella and Amir truly are superb hosts 10 out of 10 for your awesome hospitality guys ;0) xx
