Nice rooms with excellent views over the seaside and adjacent to a large public carpark. Next door to the amazing Hugh McCanns bar and restaurant. Family had 4 rooms, and only complaint was each room had something missing. For example, shower gel, hair dryer, cups for the tea and coffee. But these shouldn't take away from the lovely stay that you can have.

Ideal location, great value. Lovely rooms, decorated well for the style of the building. Staff are great. Tea/coffee supplied. Only thing let down our room was the bathroom sink as it's badly cracked but still usable, could do with a towel rail. Loads of options for breakfast close by, great views over the promenade.

So disappointing and extremely dirty. Nothing was usable. Bed was so bad. You also have to go to the bar which is not noted to get your room key, spent an hour trying to figure out how to get in. Chair was clearly not for use, hair dryer was covered in masking tape, definitely not useable. Was damp in the room. Lamp didn't work. Overall so bad Terrible. Not even clean. Dust and cobwebs everywhere. Bed was clearly not clean and extremely uncomfortable, tables ooh my days so old and rotting where to start. Not one bit of toliet roll or hand wash In the toliet. Tv you can't watch as it's behind the door.

A perfect location if you want to hike Slieve Donard; the car park is literally around the corner. I didn't carefully enough read the directions when I booked to realize that I would need to check in at the pub next door or the hotel down the street, depending on the day of the week. Once I figured that out, it was easy enough. I'll take a star off because the interior is a bit shabby and you'll very likely hear the other guests, particularly as they move around the common hallway. I'd certainly stay there again if the price were right.

I've rated the service so low as we didn't really have any service, it's not that it was bad, but essentially non existent. Got the keys from the bar and left in a box at the door upon exit! Room was clean and warm. Seriously need to upgrade their windows. We were on the second floor in room 7, facing the Mournes and donard car park. People in cars were beeping their horns, flashing their lights and revving their insanely loud engines until all hours, which wasn't ideal with a 1yr old with us. Not much sleep was had. Seems like a lot of money for what is simply a room with no breakfast or any sort of service.

PROS The bed was nice and cosy, the location was 10 out of 10 and the views were stunning. CONS The point of contact is the bar next door. We only had one toilet roll and one towel so was a bit embarrassing having to into the bar to ask for these things. The toilet flush did not work. They charge £120 a night and do not provide breakfast and the tea tray is just tea & coffee. If you need anything early in the morning you have to wait until the bar opens . Checkout is at 11 and bar opens at 11 so basically you have no customer care.

Our stay was booked by telephone direct . Stayed as part of our family group to be close to the venue of the wedding party. Room very ok .. clean . No warm water in any of the rooms after a big party . Very disappointed. Still no response from management.
