Absolutely lovely hotel, staff were friendly and welcoming. Pool was lovely and so quiet, I had it to myself for ages. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Overall a perfect solo break after the Christmas frenzy and plan to come back for couples spa treatments in the near future.

The room wasnt too bad. The bed had a sheet that didnt cover the length of the mattress. Brown stains in the toilet that were visible when you were in the bath. The restaurants one night one was painfully slow but the food was quite nice. Breakfast was horrendous. Badly cooked food. Half of it run out and not replenished. Messy. A depressing dining area. Just awful. And on the second night the restaurant was closed to half board guests and it was a buffet which was the so bad I wouldnt know where to start describing the experience.

Good location, very friendly staff. The standard double room we stayed in was pleasant and clean. There were 2 bottles of Harrogate water and Borders biscuits. Netflix was available in the room and there was free WiFi. There weren't many people at dinner yet the garlic prawns weren't garlici enough and our fish and chips was overdone. We asked for no ice in our drinks but both had ice. The GM George was very nice and offered us an upgrade for our next visit. Hope your shoulder gets better soon. Worth staying here.

Very mixed review; we had a lovely stay for these reasons; - Receptionist Steve was amazing to upgrade us to the double suite which made our stay very good value for money. - the spa was great, quiet, fully functioning steam room (great size & temperature), sauna & jacuzzi. The pool was a good temperature to have a swim. - we had the dinner included which was a buffet, we loved the squash soup, partner liked the beef dish. Desserts (cheesecake & carrot cake) was nice. - breakfast was good. Reasons why we didn’t enjoy the stay as much; - the room was cold and we were told that the heaters aren’t switched on until mid October (Steve did try to find us a heater with no luck). - it’s definitely not a 4 star hotel, it’s very tired in appearance & needs updating. - the buffet dinner was hit and miss, not much variety, it felt like eating at a canteen not a 4 star hotel. - loud guests in the car park until early hours. - had to pay £5 per person to use the spa. - was given 1 complimentary drink when there was 2 of us?!

Customer service is excellent. The location is quite remote and almost difficult to find but that can be overcame. The rooms are quite antiquated but are comfortable and for the price point, the services we are entitled to are amazing. There were issues with some rooms but the staff remedied them swiftly and gave a complimentary upgrade.

The Christmas party event we went to was fabulous. Excellent dinner and service with happy smiley staff. Free wine with the meal. The decorations were absolutely stunning. There was a free photo booth which was a great hit, fun and very popular with my Solent Socialising club members who went along; 24 of us. The disco was very good (only issue was some of the tunes were dated). The hotel rooms were outstanding; clean, roomy, warm, spacious, tea and coffee, large tv, bath & shower, great view out of the window, quiet. The leisure facilities (swimming pool, gym, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room) were all included in the price together with a eat as much as you can breakfast (fried and continental on offer). Overall a fantastic exceptionally good experience. Well done to Sophia and her team.

Do not book a stay here!!!! I am only selecting one star because I have to, to leave this review! We booked a nights stay for this weekend with a late evening check-in. After a nearly 4 hour drive and 10 minutes away from the hotel, we received a call from a most arrogant and rude gentleman, to say that the 2 rooms we had booked were no longer available and that we would have to find alternative accommodation! We booked this place because it was dog friendly, so can you imagine our stress levels when being told we had no accommodation and at 9pm at night, we would need to find an alternative stay. It was all topped off by the ‘manager’ hanging up on us when we said that this was not acceptable. Rude, obnoxious and poor customer service.

I must say both me and my group were pleasantly surprised after reading the previous reviews about Meon Valley. The course was excellent as we're the course and pro shop staff. We had no problem at all with our rooms, food provided and our waiting staff with plenty on offer at all times. The only downside, why it didn't get 5 stars was the bar is extslw. With the previous reviews I think many people are expecting far too much for 3 days golf for £240 quid. Would definitely return here.

Very good price for visiting. Some reception staffs were great but strangely some were not. The condition of the room was not too bad but compare to the price, it was good. Good connection with the golf course. We used for a.dog walking. The first day, the breakfast was disappointing but the next day, strangely, it was great. The lift was broken so many elderly people were struggling to walk on stairs. The car park was convenient.
