Amazing hotel stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding and having stayed at different hotels around the world this is up there as one of the best and considering how good it is the price compared with other 5 star hotels it is very reasonable The staff are excellent every one of them was friendly and helpful the place and the grounds were immaculately kept The WiFi is strong all around the hotel which is needed as the general phone signal is not good I needed to receive a text but was lucky the lady on reception told me where to stand to get the best reception A comment on the food just loved it the quality and the ingredients were fresh and every was perfect Whilst we were their for a wedding we really are going back to come back sometime just to to stay and relax

Lovely place, location, although outdated with some things in modern times (No gym/Pool). 4 poster bed on small side for what you expect, electric heaters in main room and radiator in bathroom with a stylish old bath. Window in bathroom is standard glass & blind does not go all the way to the bottom leaving you open to being viewed from outside. Good food/dining was available, limited drinks/beers at high cost. Breakfast can be prepaid or paid at hotel for £17.50. Domes are ok but poor service as 1 person covering all. Nice seats in bar with privacy setting but today we were told to move as they wanted the area so not very well managed or good customer service but overall was not too bad, although probably overrated

We had our wedding here in July, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Kim is absolutely amazing, everything from 8am-1am ran smoothly. All our guests were talking about how kind and helpful the staff were, the amazing food, and the beautiful venue. Would definitely recommend Meldrum House for any event!!

Went for a Sunday roast with family and we were let down big time after looking so forward to it. Started off we ordered our roasts on coming to the table all meals were cold and had to be returned. Once we got the meals back they were slightly warmer. One of the party had the roast beef on asking the first time of serving to be served medium to well when it returned had been put on the grill to heat up returned well well done!! And for the sweet one of the party had the strawberry crumble with the custard, well the custard vessel was warm but the custard was stone cold. We were all very disappointed as some of the other diners had been seen returning meals. Said for the price they have had less expensive roasts else were a lot more enjoyable. We had to haggle to get a discount which we got. On looking on a popular job site I noticed that Meldrum House had a few jobs advertised looking for chefs and serving staff, wonder why? In the past it has been very good but this last visit made us think if we would return!

We had a late lunch in one of the domes in the grounds overlooking part of the golf course and 19th hole! Service was good but unintrusive. I had scampi and it was delicious with great attention to detail on sides too. (Vinegar in small spray bottle, delicious tartar sauce with minted pea puree and chips. Lemon was covered with muslin to prevent seeds falling on to your food. 10/10.

The staff here make the place what it is, so attentive kind and supportive of individual client needs. Meldrum house is beautiful inside and out with lovely grounds such an enjoyable afternoon tea. Highly recommend a visit for lunch, a stay or afternoon tea!

I visited the hotel to celebrate a friends birthday with afternoon tea. It's a ritual I love and I've sampled afternoon tea all over the world, but this, in my opinion, was the best so far. The food, both savoury and sweet, was delicious (especially that black pudding bon bon) and the service was impeccable. I can't help comparing the experience with afternoon tea on the Queen Mary II which was enjoyable, but really didn't live up to the hype. The Meldrum House Hotel's afternoon tea is most definitely better! We were told that the menu was new for winter, so if you've already been there for afternoon tea, don't worry, you can do it again for an all new experience! As I have limited mobility at the moment I was especially grateful to the staff who found a wheelchair I could use as the walk (which is not particularly long) was too much for me. Everyone was so considerate, it was a really lovely experience and I very much look forward to visiting again.

Great lace out in the country side to come visit for a relaxing few days. The staff is very friendly and will do everything they can make your visit stress free. Parking on site, breakfast, lunch and dinner is available, with a two different options for lunch and dinner. Golf course was in great shape, and fun to play. They have a driving range, putting and chipping center to warm up in. There is a distillery near by, however, it’s small and yours sell out in advance. I would book early if you want to go.

We never stayed the night at Meldrum House, but we hired one of the domes for a lunch and it was fantastic! Great service, & great experience, definitely worth the money. The food was great too. It was for a birthday so definitely reccomend for a special event :)

Visited the hotel for a work meeting. The buildings themselves were stunning and the grounds was well kept. Facilities during the day were OK and staff were friendly and courteous. The food during the evening was OK but only average and not reflective of the stunning venue but not bad either. The hotel room was very comfortable and clean. The bar had a great selection of whisky however we were not exactly made to feel the most welcome by the staff in the bar and by 10pm it was felt as though they simply wanted us to leave even though we were residents. Breakfast was really good and great quality meat however again the service was lacking in efficiency with us waiting over half an hour to get served however its appreciated that they were busy. Overall the venue is fantastic and I would certainly recommend it to a friend
