This place is great for seaside rural walks with the dogs. It was quiet and I loved it. Parking is tricky and not suitable for people would need assistance with walking. It's worth a visit though just for the views.
Beautiful wide sandy beach with grassy dunes behind. Interesting industrial view out to see with the turbines and the rig and many ships out there. There are old concrete tank traps and a pillbox from ww2 along the beach too. Very interesting. But the beach makes for lovely walking and perfect for dogs. Watched some lovely pups bounding down the beach.
Blackdog Beach offers a peaceful escape. its vast sandy shores and scenic dunes will calm you, perfect for a quiet stroll. However, it’s less developed, so facilities are minimal, great for nature lovers but not ideal for amenities.
Wonderful wild beach and beautiful views along with the wind farm location. Gorgeous place for a walk chill with some friends and family. Popular spot for a dog walking. Take a look around and see the beauty of Scottish wildlife.
Secluded beach with a great view of the sea and city. Pretty small car park but not a problem as there aren't many people. There are lots of WW2 pill boxes and tank traps, so it's definitely fun to explore with kids or just to pick up some shells :).
Gorgeous beach, and much quieter than the neighbouring Balmedie. Sad to see the new houses have taken away part of the beach walks.
This is a beautiful beach with fantastic views along the bay. Parking is quite limited though so might be tricky at weekends etc Access to the beach is also not the greatest, we had to cross some stepping stones over a burn or you can go over the dunes.

Lovely long beach but not easily accessible if you have any disabilities or are elderly. There are lots of high dunes between the car park and the beach, which are very steep. The car park is also rather small and as a lot of dog walkers seem to use it, there is a risk it may have no parking room. If you are fit and able it is worth the walk, otherwise go to neighbouring Bemeadie which has easy access.
