   I was surprised how many stalls were closed but I imagine this being a fishing town they work on early hours. The fruit and veg stall was lovely and the meat stalls looked great

   Good stalls, but 3 stars as they need the market hall to be open more often. The Beast burger place was quite good they serve Chicken Nuggets made out of chicken fillets rather than ground up reformed meat. Convenient location to have the market, parking right next to it,bus stops and good accessibility for Wheelchairs, mobility scooters etc.

   Hope feels like it left Freeman Street Market some time ago. Aside from a really good retro vinyl record shop which is worth a visit the wider market and street feels run down and neglected. The area is also not that safe which is worth being aware of when visiting. I happen to look like a bit of a thug myself so I was ok but I'd not recommend randomly walking around in the area if you can avoid it. Many former shops are boarded up etc. I was hoping that given the area is located there would be a superb range of fishmongers including here but the only crabs and lobsters on display were plastic ones, although there was was a limited selection of fish also available.... Hard to recommend this one. Major investment needed.
