What is the point of attending a nightclub at Butlins if the protection of the club's license is valued more than the safety and well-being of individuals who are attacked? On Friday 10th January 2025 between 2.22am and 3.22am. My friend was violently punched in the eye, leaving it severely swollen the following day, and another friend suffered a bleeding ear. These injuries were caused by a woman under the influence of drugs and alcohol at Reds Nightclub. Disturbingly, instead of ensuring the violent individual was arrested, the security team appeared more concerned with protecting their license and concealing the incident. This handling of the situation is unacceptable. It is appalling that the perpetrator was not held accountable, especially as her boyfriend encouraged her behavior during the assault. This lack of action endangers others, as she is likely to repeat this violence. My friend is now temporarily blind in one eye, and these injuries constitute grievous bodily harm (GBH). This individual should face legal consequences, yet nothing has been done. Shame on Butlins for failing to protect victims of such a horrific assault and for allowing this to go unpunished. Toilets in here are horrible, very dirty and smellly! We have arrived today on a midweek break the reds venue was open 10 mins an di poped to the loo and it was so dirty! Dirty water on the floor, smelled of sick everywhere! Clearly has not been cleaned properly after big weekend!!
