   Utter rubbish.... can't call that a market! Waste of 5 mins of my life looking round! Would have given 0 stars but no option!

   If anyone knows the fruit and veg seller, I'd avoid. Lived here all my life but never bought from them and now never will again. Passing by to wilkos I spotted their strawberries and thought they looked lovely. On closer inspection, a few of the punnets had mould so once I'd selected my punnets, which I was buying anyway, I let the gents know that a few of them were mouldy. He told me that that was the risk of buying cheap fruit and that he'd never seen me before (true) and never wanted me to come back. Meanwhile the other gent came out to look at the strawberries and sold me mine but with the other guy behind him still complaining about me and saying it was normal to be selling mouldy fruit. I wasn't even complaining about them, I was in the middle of a purchase and just thought they'd like to know. Didn't even want to give them my £2 in the end but he got his wish. Never again.

   What a poor market. Not one stall selling anything remotely quality. I only wanted eggs and as nobody had any, I had to go to the spar shop.

   Not as good an atmosphere as the old Ashby market or as many stalls, the council have put paid to the old markets as we knew them , used to love all the banter shouting etc never be the same again, council have killed it all with new rules and larger rents

   Ashby Market, as it currently stands, is really going downhill. A few years ago it was an excellent market but traders have been pulling out for some time now. There is currently work being carried out so the Market will be moving in late November 2017. Unfortunately this means that traders such as Butchers will have to leave as there will be no power available. A real shame and probably the final days are now approaching.
