   A huge shout-out to the team at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hull! I was the DJ for a wedding there a little while back, and it was one of those perfect gigs. The wedding coordinators were on the ball, the guests were amazing, and the whole setup is just first-class. It’s a venue that truly cares about creating a special day.    Fantastic hotel to stay in. We were greeted with two warm cookies when we checked in, the staff were all great and friendly! We made our way up to our room which was faultless, and not too long after we checked our room out, I received a text from reception staff asking if everything was okay which was a lovely touch. The hotel is very clean, the room was lovely, we LOVED the bathroom so much so I’d love that bathroom in my own home! Definitely coming back!

   Amending this review after another stay, I've never stayed at a hotel where I can't sit down for breakfast because they opened a small section which is full and Im told I can't sit in one of the empty chairs because that section is closed. Don't stay at this place it's a shame to the Hilton hotel brand. They have parking, but you have to walk around the building to get to the reception from the car park. The gym is tiny for the size of the hotel and has a very small amount of equipment for the number of guests. The room is ok, bed is comfortable and shower works nicely

   recently attended the UKPON Conference held at your hotel and stayed on-site during the event. I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service I received throughout my stay. All members of staff were polite, friendly, and demonstrated excellent customer care and service. In particular, I would like to highlight the exceptional service provided by Dominic, who went above and beyond on several occasions. On my first night, when my room was uncomfortably warm, Dominic promptly assisted with sorting out the air conditioning and personally delivered a fan to ensure my comfort. On the second night, while I was at the bar, he kindly arranged for a pizza for other guests after the kitchen had closed – a thoughtful gesture that really showcased his commitment to guest satisfaction. Dominic’s professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care for guests truly stood out and made a positive impact on my stay. He is a real credit to your team and embodies the values of excellent hospitality.

   The hotel is in a great location, right in the city centre. Service was fine and the bar is very good – nothing to complain about. The room cost £130 for a king size bed, and parking is available but costs £12 per day. The highlight was definitely the steakhouse restaurant – absolutely excellent! A bit pricey, but well worth it for such great food

   Went to the Hilton hotel for a young farmers dinner dance and had an incident where my dress ripped. So we went to the hotel reception and a lovely woman named Claire helped to fix my dress. Was so kind and understanding and did a fantastic job of fixing my dress. Couldn’t complain! The customer service was amazing and all members of staff were very lovely.

   If Carlsberg did Hotels......... A lovely clean modern hotel in the town centre. We held a wake at the hotel which was superb and Nadia and her events team managed everything with the utmost professionalism.    A fab hotel in the heart of Hull. The staff were all friendly and efficient. The room we stayed in was lovely with a very comfortable bed. The bar downstairs is very nice...did t get chance to visit the one upstairs. The hotel location is great with the main shopping centre close by and pubs a short walk away.

   Cannot rate rooms as we had afternoon tea only. Booked for 12 o'clock the restaurant and bar was quiet. Environment is pleasant, service good although had to wait for second pot of tea as waiter attended to bar customer (shortage of staff?) Shame as experience was otherwise pleasant.

   Upsides: The location is good right in the city centre. The decor is modern, stylish and very clean. The breakfast was very nice and varied. Downsides: The room service food was poor, with a limited selection and we were disappointed, I would not recommend it. The bathroom had no bath only a large shower. The view was awful, even on the top floor, it looked onto the other rooms rather than the cityscape. The gym facilities were limited compared to other hotels. I would have expected more given the price, as it was the most expensive hotel in the city centre. In summary, it was fine but for me it was not worth paying the extra money.
