Sadly unimpressed My husband went into the Alton office after seeing a leaflet advertising Howdens which offered potential savings of up to £179 on home insurance renewal. He spoke at length to a young man who said he would call back the next day . After waiting nearly a week my husband phoned the office and was informed that the advisor was on the phone but would get back to him asap. We are still waiting ....and in the meantime have renewed our home insurance with Churchills. So much for a personal professional service!
I have received exceptional service from James Brown of Howdens, Alton who achieved more in a day than another major insurer and broker achieved in weeks. He was professional, responsive, proactive and found a policy that provided value for money. Most importantly, as I was only given a few hours before my insurance lapsed, he was always available to answer questions, confirming his answers in writing. I could always get hold of him on the phone without being told endlessly how important my call is with a forty-minute wait! Howdens have an excellent app, that for a fee will, will advise on the rebuild cost of your property. The previous insurer / broker seemed incapable of answering questions without referring them to someone else with often days before receiving a reply. I am pleased to put these other companies behind me and be dealing with a company that actually cares.

Dominic has been fantastic at arranging my car insurance. So much better than using a comparison site as A-Plan really do like to take care of it all for you and make sure you've got the best policy. Very happy with Dominic.
As my car insurance is coming around for renewal I get a lot of nusance calls from them. I am in Australia at the monent and so the calls come in the middle of the night; they do not publish an email address, and so i cannot email them to tell them to stop bothering me. They have lost a customer.
