I had the flu vaccine. Really good service didn't feel the needle go in my arm. The pharmacist explained that it would take a full 2 weeks for the vaccine to work which I never knew.

I booked a private flu jab six weeks in advance and received a reminder text and email the day before the appointment. I turned up at 2pm for my flu jab to be told the pharmacist was ill and so I couldn't have it. I appreciate these things happen, but a phone call, text or email early in the morning would have saved me a wasted journey. Having seen the way the pharmacy operates while waiting in the queue I won't be rebooking there. They are totally disorganised and give terrible customer service.

Having used this chemist since the chemist in Sainsbury's closed, I can only say the service in Asda Pharmacy is appalling. Despite my prescription being emailed to the pharmacy on a monthly basis it is never ready. The staff are rude and unhelpful. I have been told my items were not in stock and would be available the following day. I was assured I would be called when it arrived so I wouldn't have a wasted journey, after receiving no call after 3 days I went into the pharmacy and it was there. When I next went to collect my husband's prescription I was told I would need to go back later in the week as you had to give notice for large prescriptions. When I said I needed them and as they were phoned through earlier in the week they agreed to do it but I would need to wait. It took 2 hours, when I asked how I make a formal complaint the chemist came out, gave me the phone number and said to call them in a morning so they could have the prescription ready. I have tried calling 10 times this morning and my call is cut off. If I could award 0 stars I would.

Awful multiple times I've ordered prescriptions up to two weeks in advance for them not to be ready or i stock when I get there, then the staff member tried to blame me for not going before my medicatio ran out. Ridiculous attitude, what's the point of ordering in advance if they're just going to give out stock to people that don't order so that people's advance orders can't be fulfilled.

Terrible service from this Pharmacy. I have used this Asda Pharmacy for 4 years and the last 12 months the service has become appalling. Most of the staff seem overworked and this shows in the way the customers are approached and dealt with very little patience and understanding. Today was the last straw. I had requested my prescription from the Doctors seven days ago and was sent to this Pharmacy via the usual electronic way. Unfortunately, if you request a repeat prescription from the Doctors more than seven days before I require them then the Doctor will refuse the repeat prescription. I visited Asda to collect my prescription and I was told to come back the following Saturday. That will make the waiting time of 10 days since they received this prescription. I have never had to wait this long for my meds to be prescribed. It meant I would of run out of medication and be without them for seven days or more. The counter staff just printed my prescription and told me to go elsewhere. This is will be doing from now on.

Never have scripts ready for collection any more, then out of stocks even knowing it a repeat. Getting poorer really.

Despite there being a queue of customers as it was around lunchtime, the lady with dark short hair managed to attend to all the other customers while also trying to do everything she could to find out how to get my dad's repeat prescription released. When we came to the conclusion that she won't be able to because she doesn't have the correct authorisation, she took a note to get her manager to authorise it the next morning and to also give me a call to let me know whether that was successful. I later found out the GP had sent the prescription to the wrong pharmacy, so no wonder she wasn't able to release the prescription, but regardless, she did everything she could to help me that day and made it her mission to get my dad's medication to me, even though it wasn't urgently needed.

Very rude staff at pharmacy on hessle road lots of badges hanging on chest how brilliant customers service they do and employee of the year how come ! No smile on faces , no helo , when I wanted only ask if they sell something from they counter they ask you to wait in the queue for 30min can you believe it , to say they dont sell , dont you even ask for minor ailments you have right to use the service but they will refuse to do it and tell you to buy , and even put item on till and say its only Β£2.50 and you save time waiting for me to do it?! can you imagine ! 3 times in row happened to me , where gp advised me to get from pharmacy on free services . All badges should be taken of they chest and they should have a proper training about customer services , queues long and two people deal with one person and have even time to chat about and lough - joke, people complain about Boots when they would never act like that i rather now go extra mile then use service at that pharmacy . Lazy Lazy Lazy , i gave them so many chances thinking maybe they had bad day or something ,,, but after so many repeated sytuations with them i relised that its not the one off sytuations its just them and they always act like that . Shocking .

Very hit and miss at this Pharmacy. Pharmacist gives the impression of looking down his nose at you. On one visit when I went in to collect a prescription I was told I had already collected it (when I hadn't) i was then told again I had collected it- after going into the back area it was found nearly ten minutes, it transpired that someone had changed where they kept medicines for Collection. Bag was just handed over without any dialogue or apology for the accusation. Staff wise, they have some lovely staff, two have been ever so helpful, and really are fantastic when helping customers, the exception being an older grey haired lady who really shouldn't be serving customers with her scowl and manners. She was very pleasant serving a young mother and her baby who were before me. She asked the baby for a smile and the baby just looked at her with a non-plussed expression. Having been served by this assistant on previous occasions, I was tempted to use her "am I going to get a smile?" but then thought I would get the same expression that the baby gave her! I will also point out that you will be served when they ordain to serve you, many times I have seen them ignoring customers despite having a clear view of the counter. There is no bell and as they ignore you, unless you shout over the perspex screens prepare for a wait. Also, they seem unaware that their conversations about customers/ patients can be heard quite clearly from the counter area! Convenience and their late night hours are the only reason I continue to use the pharmacy.
