   Very friendly and helpful. I went in to pick up my fiancés prescription. It was overdue but it was also Christmas Eve so they were very busy. I think they had resorted to a temporary make them up for whoever comes in policy. Everyone was told the same thing “ there will be an half hour wait”. I went to do a bit of shopping and it was ready when I came back. Usually you’re in and out but even under stressful conditions they do their very best. The pharmacist that is usually there is an absolute gem! Great bloke.

   I've never liked this pharmacy and regret moving from Boots in Anlaby just to be closer to a pharmacist for prescriptions. Bad atmosphere and poor attitude abound, and the simple act of asking for a prescription is met with defensive attitude if it's not ready. Staff look like they are walking on egg shells and the owners sarcastic muttering and 'you'll get it when it's ready' attitude in earshot of the customer is pure gold as an example of bad service. The owner deciding to comment about my prescription when I was speaking to another member of staff was the last straw for me, and I'll be changing my pharmacist again. As it happens, when I rang the doctors to arrange the change, they said, was it Newton's by any chance? It seems like your reputation precedes you.

   A great chemist. I live almost 4 miles away and still choose to use this pharmacy. They took care of my father’s prescriptions for many years and were always helpful and obliging. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Staff always pleasant despite being very busy. A special mention to Andrew who goes above and beyond sometimes.

   After using this business for over 26 years I have finally had enough of the utter lack of people skills presented to me by the majority of the staff. Without fail there is ALWAYS a negative atmosphere and perhaps some further training may be of benefit? I can appreciate that they are busy and we are all subject to this in our own jobs so this is not the issue. Good manners and self awareness are essential when dealing with customers and this does not translate well in this particular situation. These are observations based over many years and I have many examples of being made to feel uncomfortable. Boots chemist will have my business from now on.

   The staff seemed efficient but curt. I know everyone busy but take time to get to know ur customer! Good I got my meds but they don’t sell vision d3+k2 spray.

   My elderly dad's GP surgery said I should ask Newton's about sending his medication ready sorted for each day, as he's often got confused about whether or not he has taken it. The pharmacist (not the usual man) repeatedly shouted at me and accused me of lying about the GP's request, and disputed the arrangements I had previously made with the GP about my dad's medication. I have rarely come across such an objectionable man. If you're exhausted from trying to care for an elderly relative, don't expect any help from this pharmacy. I never want to set foot in there again.

   When there are 2 bags of prescriptions to pick up why oh why are they not stapled together, my son who picked up part prescription was on a break from work because he only got 1 item he has to pick up the rest of the prescription tomorrow again on his break. I recently asked the chemist if they would deliver they refused my husband is very ill and cannot walk requires a wheelchair and I am recovering from cancer, just how ill do you have to be!!!!. I would have to get 2 buses. Staff always seem pleasant enough and everyone makes mistakes but this is not the first time this has happened

   Top quality independent pharmacy serves the community so well. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, nothing is to much trouble from Mr Archibald the pharmacist to the girls doing the dispensing and working in the shop. The staff go out their way to help when scripts haven't arrived despite surgeries saying they have sent them. The staff spend so much time chasing scripts which is way beyond their job description and the public should know this. Highly recommended.

   I've lived near the little library all my life, this pharmacy is the best pharmacy I've ever been too. I would like to point to out the head pharmacist a ginger haired gentleman is just as sweet and knowledgeable as my gp! He is a true wonder to behold in today's standards!
