Great pet shop, wouldnβt go anywhere else, the service is second to none. Such a variety of food, toys and supplies. Staff are lovely, and very knowledgeable. My dog also loves a visit there as she is always greeted with a smile and a treat!

I've been shopping at Country Pets for many, many years and was delighted when the lovely Lara took over, bringing a fresh, updated look and range of products. I'm impressed that she takes great care to canvas locals for what they want to buy in her store. The previous owner wouldn't accommodate my dogs' food needs but Lara immediately decided to stock a comprehensive range of raw dog foods which previously many of us had to travel miles to buy. It's great to be able to support Island business by shopping locally and to know so many local dogs have benefited from becoming raw-fed because is accessible here. There's a great range of other feeds, pet accessories and well as other products to suit every need. Lara takes pride in choosing and training her team of staff, also, who are always friendly, helpful and welcoming. I never shop anywhere else for my two dogs now and can highly recommend this local treasure of a store. Thank you, Lara and team for all you do for the dog community.

I have used this pet shop since the lady who owns it now took it over more than 10 years ago, and I can 100% say it has everything you would need for your pets, how ever BIG or small they maybe. Nothing is too much effort for them, if they donβt have what you need they will see if they can order it in for you. Great customer service, all staff are very friendly and helpful. The range of dog food and toys (which is what I shop in there for) are amazing - spoilt for choice. Definitely worth 5 stars from me β βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ

We couldn't recommend this pet shop high enough we pop in there today (sat 26th July 25) just to pick up some snacks for Mr Alfredo and we got chatting to the lovely lady owner about the quality of dog food. Well what a wealth of information and care she showed asking questions about Alfies lifestyle and taking to time to help us make some good decisions about Alfies diet that in the long term with help him as he approaches he's older years. Happy to say we are now customers for life. Plus Mr Alfredo will get a cuddle and a free snack.

This used to be a great pet shop when the old lady used to be there but sadly not the case anymore and if I could give it zero stars, I would. We brought our new pup back in January and at the time we were told that the pup had been fed on raw meat. We carried on with this for a while but were told by our vet that they did not recommend raw food. As this was the only local pet shop that sold the particular raw food I brought a few tubs from them at quite an inflated price from purchasing it from a pet store that we would have to travel to. One of the tubs was Salmon and we thought that it would be good to give our pup a change rather than just Chicken. On opening this, even though it was frozen, the smell was disgusting and it was obviously that it was off. I didn't make a fuss about it but did say to the woman in the shop that one of the tubs was off. Rather than apologise about it being off, all she could offer was you will just have to contact the manufacture and report it as there is nothing I can do about it. Well, it wasn't going back in my freezer so I just binned it. We still used the pet shop for our pups new harness and lead along with all the other bits and pieces, which, since January has come to add up to quite a pretty penny. Today (15.07.25) my wife brough our pup some treats and also a new toy. This was supposed to be a KONG toy and was a giraffe with tennis ball feet attached to material legs. Not cheap at Β£8.15 but as our pup had other KONG toys and has never even gotten near too chewing them up, my wife was happy to pay what was obviously an inflated price. Within 10 to 15 minutes of our pup, now 8 months old, having this she had stripped off two of the small tennis balls and chewed up the inner rubber ball, ingesting some of this. I took this back to the shop as I expected this to last a lot longer but was met a comment by her that pups chew toys up and what did I expect. Well, as it states on the label, if the dog damages the toy that it should be taken away. Β£8.15 for 10 minutes of play!!!. I said that I expected better as she was only an 8 month old King Charles Spaniel, not a Rottweiler. I was then amazed for her to say that it wasn't damaged when my wife bought it. Again, all she wanted to say was that I should contact the manufacture and report it. Obviously, she has never heard of the Consumer Rights Act of 2015 which states that goods sold are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and match the description provided. This piece of rubbish was none of these but she just doesn't want too know. I did take some photo's but were unable to upload these but I shall keep these and I may just contact KONG toys and hope I have more of a response that I received here today. Final note, it's her loss as I would not shop there again, and over the life of our new dog, that is going too be a lot of money.

We have been coming here for the last 5 years since we got our dog. We love the friendly vibe and range of different pet food, treats, accessories and toys. Lara is very knowledgeable and helpful. The dog pick and mix by the counter is an excellent idea as is supporting the locals who knit individual dog jumpers. The range of natural treats for pets is excellent. The window displays are fun and great parking right out front. A superb business. Shop local and support independent businesses.
