   We have been coming here for years and it just keeps getting better and better. Owners Sara and Peter give a personal touch to every stay and the staff are highly trained, eager, and no ask is too much. Dinner is was delicious and unforgettable on the terrace with the fire blazing. Breakfasts full of fresh fruit and yoghurts and the rooms all have their own personal charm. Don’t forget trunks for the delightful pool!

   We spent two days in Sara and Peter’s lovely hotel and everything was charming, it really felt like a getaway. The food itself would be worth the visit, the seafood was one of the best we had in a while! The location was very convenient and we enjoyed all the great tips the hosts gave us. The pool gives a nice Mediterranean twist to this English riviera town! Warmly recommend.

   Called in for s drink and had a very warm welcome, fantastic coffee, local Island blend, great value, not ridiculous hotel prices as some places charge, and a relaxing hour in this beautiful hotel. Must return soon to sample the food.

   From the location, the rooms, the property, food…no notes for foresters hall. Centre of luxury on the cutest Isle of Wight, and the sweetest owners right on the property. I especially appreciated the art, decor, and was very hard to leave the gorgeous pool area.

   I stayed for 6 nights. It was joyous: food was outstanding and original. The owner/hosts -Peter and Sara pay attention to detail and have made an atmosphere of comfort and intelligent delight. The rooms are spacious and so comfy and superbly furnished. It is both elegant and friendly. I can’t wait to return.

   We wanted to once again thank Sarah, Peter & Alice as well as the entire team at Foresters Hall for a very warm welcome and for keeping the best hotel on the Isle of Wight alive and well! Whilst everything was perfect with our stay, the apple tart from the tapas menu deserves a very special mention - it was exceptionally good. We hope to see you again soon, Frankie, Serge & Alice

   I notice they are showing the previous owners reviews from North House! The previous owners done an amazing job with the hotel, restaurant and bar. Always someone around and extremely helpful. Food drinks and service 10/10. I was there under new owners back in July for family lunch as I was a regular visitor under previous owners. Restaurant looked awful as chef brought his tables from his restaurant in Newport. Looked like a badly designed farmhouse kitchen. Food was either little round balls or cube and was told chef brought some of his menu from Newport restaurant. Tonnes of cash for low quality food. Pull your socks up guys. To top it off. The staffs washing was hanging out the top floor windows in full view of us eating on the terrace.

   Fabulous food experience at North House with their Sunday lunch tasting menu prepared so perfectly by head chef Robert Thompson and his first-class crew. Robert welcomed us personally; he is such a talented and amiable chap you feel like you’ve known him forever. The presentation, service and imaginative dishes were all faultless - we'll be back, soon!

   We stayed for three nights and had a wonderful time. The room was spacious and comfortable. Great location close to the shops. The tapas for dinner was delicious and the staff were all lovely. The swimming pool was an added bonus. Will definitely be back!
