   My friend and I had an amazing lunch today. The food was hot. Enjoyed the salmon with its herby crust. The veg on the side were plain but a good selection and cooked very well. I had banana parfait with choc ice cream...brilliant. My friend had the treacle and carrot sponge, it didn't touch the sides! We were only visiting not staying but it all looked clean and tidy and the service was good.

   Staff excellent. Parking is hit and miss which is annoying. Food is pretty good. Rooms acceptable but could not lock main door to room as never had double lock option, just electronic. Stony beach directly opposite. Good for watching the yacht races or events.

   Stayed here for one night last weekend. Lovely spot overlooking the Solent. Room was nice and comfortable. Great breakfast in the morning and was nice to sit out on the evening enjoy a drink and watch the sunset. Staff friendly and helpful.

   Simon, and his charming team, do a great job in making you feel very welcome to this classy establishment. The rooms are really clean and spacious. The hotel is right on the waterfront, and close to Cowes , with all its attractions. Breakfast and other meals were delicious. I enjoy 300+ nights / annum in hotels, and I recommend this hotel!

   I was not staying at the hotel as a guest, merely passing by and seeking a coffee. The large blue advert stated Bar drinks, tea, coffee and fresh food served daily. It was 12:20pm when I entered, and yet despite that, the lady on reception told me that they had stopped serving, and that apparently there were signs stating that but according to her, nobody read them.I noticed that there were still quite a few people sitting in the restaurant and lounge areas at that time. I put my money away and left. The menus displayed outside advertised food and drinks from midday till 2pm, as does your website. The only sign that I saw was the large blue one on the wall outside inviting people to come in, and two others advertising mince pies and mulled wine. Perhaps clearer signage is needed, both at the hotel, and on your website.

   The New Holmwood facilitated a wonderful 60th birthday surprise lunch on 16.11.22. We had a lovely meal and they kindly brought out the cake with candles and indoor firework. The service was excellent. Thank you.
