Excellent care and attention from Emily at Companion Care Collingwood. I had a very snappy and poorly dachshund and she was so caring and sensitive. Great treatment.

My second visit to this vet. The first was with the lovely Silvia who took blood and did my pets initial vaccinations. She held herself with great proffessionalism and really cared about my pet. Even in the follow up phone call to discuss the results she walked me through each line to ensure I understood. The second visit was just as good, in and out in under 20 mins and they took good care of both me and met pet. Could not reccomend more.

We have just had to say farewell to our wonderful Dachshund Dibble. He was fifteen and a half years old but still a puppy in his own mind. Friday 26th September 2025 was a heartbreaking day for us. However, the Companion Care Collingwood Reception staff were amazingly sympathetic and kind, for which we were terribly grateful. And we cannot thank Vet Emily Wignall enough for her compassion, patience, expertise and professionalism. She is incredibly talented and a joy to have met several times during Dibble’s final year with us.

Honestly this vet practice was good. Moved to the area and registered with them. The services were sufficient but costly. Even with insurance the services seemed expensive. Within the first year we noticed the prices increased significantly even with vets telling us they have all blood work machines, X-rays and sonars on the premises. Etc. this only escalated the prices. How can a full body blood work cost £450-£600 for one cat. Additionally was told my cat had a heart murmur but to diagnose would first cost £900 and then possible monthly monitoring up to £600 per month. The vet was first asking what insurance and what type of insurance level the pet has. Seems the vet’s are more worried about the insurance and how much they can charge per medical condition. Overall: practice is good, costs are outrageously expensive.

Rude staff. Receptionist didn't even look up at me. Vet told me what's wrong with my pet before even checking her. And extortionate prices for the privilege. Won't be going back there.

Quite how the staff deal so professionally with certain members of the public are beyond me. Some people are plain horrible and don't deserve to own animals or deserve to be treated as well as they are. All of my dealings have been spot on and all animals have the utmost care extended. All staff are compassionate and professional.

After initial hiccup with change over from Pompey, they are very friendly and helpful. Just need to be a bit clearer about what you need to do. Got mixed messages on a number of occasions over when I needed to bring cats in for their yearly weigh in for flea treatment and a number of wasted trips. Would advise that they have an automated message to customers of when they are due for these.

Stefana and the team were incredible when I brought dottie in. She was very poorly and they reassured me and explained everything perfectly. Their attention was amazing even down to calling when we were back home to check on her progress. They have made a very stressful & worrying time a lot easier to cope with

Was my first visit with my kitten. Receptionist was lovely, explained everything in detail. Vet was kind and caring and also explained the next visit requirements and treatments. She seemed interested in my kitten and asked questions. Also when my husband rang later with a question on my behalf they were really helpful

Saw my 19.6 year old female cat st short notice for an emergency appointment a short while ago. Riachu had ingrown toenails which was treated reassuringly and she is now thriving. X
