I can't thank you all enough for all of the help and kindness that they showed to me and my dog during a very difficult time. Our vet, Heidi Thatcher, was so kind, and caring, she explained everything that was going on and that needed to be done to get Molly back on her feet, phoning me daily, sometimes twice a day to update me with Mollys progress during her weeks stay in the hospital. The reception staff helped me with all of the paperwork and I know the nurses took special care of my girl and made sure she was a comfortable as possible giving her lots of love and cuddles while she was away from home. A huge thank you once again to everyone at Lumbry Park

We went to lumbry park after our dog finnley got a referral from the emergency vet the night before, our treatment was prompt open and always communicative. I can't fault any of the staff for their professionalism and compassion. Unfortunately finnley passed while in lumbry's care, they were incredibly patient and understanding with us and gave us plenty of time and space throughout the process. Afew days after I wished to speak to a vet just to try and get my head straight and again this was no issue for them and I received a call back the next day. Obviously I'm incredibly sad that this has happened, but I'm happy it happened at lumbry, and there's nothing they could have done any better to ease this painful time.

Wonderful place. Our 15 year old dog Poppy was referred when she was really only a day from a euthanasia decision after her lymphoma had come out of remission. Kasia the oncologist was just amazing. She was so clear and with an absolute plan of what exactly could be done to treat her and what the treatment could and couldn't achieve. Poppy was treated there and then on Monday with an enzyme and again on Wednesday with chemo. The whole thing was so efficient and quick that Poppy barely knew she'd been to the vets. We waited in reception whilst the treatments were given then took her home. Everyone we've met there has been kind and friendly. Our visits to Lumbry Park have already been worth every penny. Poppy has improved in herself as the week has gone on, is alert, interested and eating well and the lymph nodes have gone down. Today she had the longest happiest walk she's had in ages. We've been given the gift of wonderful extra time with our beloved dog and that's everything we could have asked for. I'm so grateful to our local vet for her efforts in referring us and would recommend Lumbry Park to anyone with an animal with cancer.

Lumbry is a very special place and everyone we have met has been amazing, from reception to nurses and to the vets and specialists. When we first arrived and met Heidi and Lorna, they picked up our two boys, tickled their little tummies and both kittens just went gooey-eyed and fell in love. It is never easy as you don't visit a place like Lumbry unless there are issues with your pet. On subsequent visits, we met with Lorna whose compassion, care, support, expertise and love has been out of this world. We will always be eternally grateful to her and all of the staff at Lumbry for everything they've done for us and our two boys. They truly are special people, delivering first-class care for what is such an incredibly hard job. A heartfelt thank you to all at Lumbry.

My teacup yorkie visited Lumbry Park after suffering with sepsis, and they were absolutely brilliant. Couldn't have asked for a better practice, the staff are professional, friendly and empathetic. He stayed with them for 10 days and they were more than happy to arrange visits every day when he was able, they kept me in the loop with everything throughout, and updated me when I called to check in. They even kept his little bow in for visits and his blankets that came out with him were always fresh and clean too. Couldn't recommend them more and would trust them again with any of our dogs. My little one is back to his normal self now all thanks to everyone at Lumbry Park

Although my story does not have a happy ending I would just like to say how grateful I am for all the hard work and care Xavier and the team put in to try and save my sweet girl. Unfortunately despite everyones best efforts she was extremely poorly and the disease had spread too quickly and too aggressively for her to survive treatment. Xavier was patient, attentive and caring about my situation and I just know my girl was in good hands. Cannot fault Lumbry Park at all and I am thankful for all they did. R.I.P Helga x

Very competent vets (was seen by Dr Francisca Couto), my dog who had seizures was rapidly seen and suitable treatment was found quickly, after 2 months being pushed around by local vets. They dealt with the insurance claim themselves and agreed to a payment plan for the excess. Strongly recommend them!

Ellie came in to see Caroline from the ECC service on Friday evening before the bank holiday due to a very high temperature, lethargy and inappetence. Caroline very kindly called over the weekend to see how she was doing too. Following this, she had an appointment booked with Internal Medic Shaun on Tuesday. Shaun has been wonderful throughout the process and after investigation diagnosed the cause of Ellie's illness very quickly. She is now home after staying at Lumbry for a few days and feeling much better. A huge thank you to Shaun, Caroline and the whole team at Lumbry for the fantastic care of our precious Ellie, we are so very grateful and know she received the best care possible.

I can not recommend Lumbry Park enough. Our vet referred our 10 month old kitten Loki to Lumbry Park after he started to lose function in his legs. The receptionist was amazing and booked us in for a consultation with Lorna the next morning. Lorna was incredible and looked after our Loki at the hospital so well and found out he had Polyneuropathy. I was constantly kept up to date and even when he was discharged I had weekly phone calls with Lorna during his recovery. He is now completely recovered and back to running & jumping around with our dog! Thank you so much Lumbry Park!

Cannot stress enough how excellent this hospital is... from the reception staff to nursing and veterinary teams. Out GSD skye fell extremely sick whilst we were stuck out in India for my wedding, and was left with a trainer, who sadly neglected her. The initial vets (who were also amazing with their initial resuscitation) gave her a 10% chance of survival. We opted to try treating her by admitting her at Lumbry. From the get go, they were incredible with their communication, given the difficulty with telephone calls etc being in a different country. They updated me several times daily with very comprehensive details. Their care was second to none, and I can honestly say their team is the reason we were able to come back home to skye being fit and healthy again. It's a horror situation when your pet falls ill, but I would highly recommend this pet hospital and the team to provide your pet with exemplary and diligent care. Their efforts to ensure a smooth transition after discharge and provide free advice and medical recommendations even at this point were incredibly appreciated. The fees are not cheap, but private health care never is, and you truly get what you pay for with Lumbry Park.
