   We are a small accountancy practice on the Isle of Man, with no in house compliance function. We wanted an independent review of our policies and procedures to make sure we complied with regulatory requirements, and that our documentation would stand up to scrutiny from our regulator. Looking through legislation and the AML code is completely overwhelming and time consuming. We didn’t know how much would apply to a small business like ours. On top of that we were bogged down in our client work so finding the time was difficult. Thankfully we were introduced to Nyree. She is very knowledgeable and lovely to work with. Having Nyree look assess and improve our compliance function was an investment for our business. We no longer stress about the prospect of an FSA visit and it has allowed us to focus on our client work. We would highly recommend using Compliance Genie!

   My overall previous experiences of compliance has been that it is generally used not to develop or keep a business/individual safe, rather as a tool to make the advisory experience harder. However, having worked with the Genie, I can say that she truly cares about the business and the staff within it, ensuring we all work together for the benefit of the business and each other. Recently the Genie has helped me after I decided to leave the industry after 30 years, leading to my clients moving to another independent advisory service. Throughout this, the Genie provided clear and structured processes to ensure client information is kept and transferred safely and in line with GDPR. I am extremely cautious around this, understanding the trust that clients have in me and my business, however the Genie supported me and the business every step of the way. Her understanding of financial services and the industry made her the perfect partner and the whole lot process easier than it could have been. I would recommend having the Genie as a partner in your business, no matter what stage you are at, as she is always there to support you when needed.
