Had fish and chips Monday and pie and mash with veg Wednesday both come with bread and butter and pot of tea both meals were great
Love going to Steels. Personally I cannot have anything other than the homemade steak pie. The large chunks of soft juicy steak, the meat gravy, which you get an extra jug of. I had potatoes and veg today. All gorgeous. Simply delicious. Excellent service, staff always friendly and polite. Can't do enough for you. It's homely and comforting. Feels like your own nan has made your dinner.
Best fish and chips I’ve had in ages! The batter was super crispy, fish was fresh and flaky, and the chips were hot and fluffy. Nice traditional touch getting bread and butter, with tea/coffee/squash included. The apple & cherry crumble was devine - perfect crumble to fruit ratio with homemade custard. Great portion sizes and brilliant value for money. The staff were really friendly. Will definitely be back when visiting Cleethorpes again!
Excellent quality fish and chips, I got takeaway, delicious. Not oily like some chippies can be; fish was freshly cooked in light crisp batter, flakey as it should be. Chips lovely, fluffy inside and crisp on outside.
First visit to Steels. Slightly disappointed after reading reviews. Chips & peas good, fish excellent but very oily. £9.95 for large fish & chips + peas pictured so decent value for money.
Haven't been here for years. Service was excellent. We both had a small portion i had fishcakes and husband had the fish and chips. Plenty of food. Absolutely beautiful and great price. Will definitely be back soon
Classic fish and chips. Every time we go it’s always bustling, I’d recommend booking. Food is served fast, hot and the servers are super friendly. The fish and chips are crispy, not greasy at all and full of flavour. Affordable too with a meal, tea and bread and butter for about £10.
Old school fish and chip restaurant in the best way.Original decor,very clean and spotless service.The chips were crispy and fluffy on the inside,they grilled the fish on request,mushy peas and curry sauce tasty. Very reasonable price,definitely going back,brilliant.
Following a short wait to be seated we were escorted to a first floor window seat. The staff were very busy, maybe short staffed and again we had a wait for the order to be taken and our drinks order to be served. When the food finally came it was a large portion of Haddock and chips which was worth the wait.
