   Brilliant service! I am so glad Sophy was recommended to us. As first time parents we wanted to ensure we were investing in the right carrier for both us and our baby.    We booked Sophy as our doula for our first baby - and we are SO GLAD we did! I am convinced this played a huge part in our birth being so straightforward and calm. She is an absolute fountain of knowledge; not just on birth - but baby wearing, feeding (of any kind), pelvic floor health, pelvic girdle pain - the list goes on. At each of our antenatal or postnatal sessions she would arrive with books, baby wraps and various things for us to try/borrow (including a TENS machine, which proved essential). At the birth, she was a calm but assertive advocate for us in a hospital setting (where there were a few bumps in the road), and a brilliant support for my birth partner all the way through. The space that Sophy creates is judgement free and so supportive - we both felt so cared for the entire time. We can't quite believe she won't be a permanent fixture in our lives! Thank you again, Sophy!

   I’m convinced that the work we did with Sophy before the birth of my second baby played a huge part in how much more positive my second birth experience was compared to a fairly traumatic first experience. Sophy really helped my husband and I to think carefully about what we wanted and gave us the confidence to know how to ask for it.    I had a very rocky start to my breastfeeding journey whilst at the hospital which continued when we brought our baby home. We had seen so many midwives who had tried to support us but to no avail and I truly felt at my wits end. I had heard about Sophy through word of mouth but when researching to find some support I came across her again and thank goodness I did! I knew that for me, I would benefit so much more from personal one on one support in the comfort of our home and Sophy offered just that. Through our session she was able to show me other feeding positions and techniques along with links to online resources and breast feeding groups. When she left I had a new found sense of confidence and since then have had the joy of breast feeding my son with ease! It’s made such an incredible difference to our little family and I cannot thank Sophy or recommend her enough! We were even able to get her to show us how to utilise our sling for the most comfortable and supportive hold for us and baby which he is thoroughly enjoying! Throughout Sophy was understanding and compassionate, someone who you immediately feel safe with, especially through something as intimate and vulnerable as breast feeding. Thanks again Sophy for all your help.

   Sophy was so helpful and welcoming when I first came to a 'sling library' 5 years ago with my first baby. We got a stretchy sling which was a life saver, for all three of my babies. She's very knowledgeable about all things sling and it really helps having a person explain and show them to you compared to reading online reviews or buying blindly.

   A year ago I was going to this absolutely incredible and empowering experience of giving birth to my little man, all this thanks to Sophy. We decide to have Sophy as our Doula when we were around 21 weeks pregnant, and this was the best decision that we could have made. Sophy is incredibly knowledgeable and she gave us all the tools that we needed to prepare ourself to each step of this pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Now that a full year as past, I can strongly say that we couldn't have had this fantastic birth and parenthood experience so far if it wasn't for Sophy. In every step of the way and every time that we where worried or had any questions, she was always ready with some evidence based information to help us make the best decision for us as a parent, or just with a massive hug, or some amazing cake or even a full selection of fruit, depending of what you need at the time. A "thank you" will never be enough for everything that this incredible Doula did and still does for us. We will definitely be booking Sophy for our next pregnancy.

   I booked a 1:1 consultation for Sophy to come to the house for some guidance with a couple of pre-loved slings I had that I was looking to use with my 7week old son. Sophy is lovely, down to earth and was amazing at going through the pros and cons of different slings and guiding myself and my husband on how to use them. My son and I love the sling and I find it great for calming him when he’s unsettled. I wish I had contacted her sooner! Thanks so much Sophy :)

   Sophy was my doula and helped secure me the most wonderful birth experience as well as supporting me throughout pregnancy and post-birth. Her post birth support was invaluable, her experience and knowledge as a lactation consultant enabled me to continue breastfeeding despite difficulties. She also introduced us to baby wearing and slings which has improved just about everything from sleep, crying, reflux and mental health! We now join Sophy’s weekly Wednesday walks where we can continue to benefit from her support and wisdom whilst also finding a community of local mums and babies.
