Good shop and friendly service but the products and services are very dog-focussed so there wasn't much going on for cat owners.

After such a stressful time with my pug, Dev and the team were utterly brilliant from start to finish. Although treatment is still ongoing after surgery I have full faith in the vet team here. I simply would not take her anywhere else. I would highly recommend Dev as a vet especially for pugs! His extensive knowledge is second to non. I’m not a trusting person and it was hard at first but the team are amazingly reassuring and very supportive to not only myself as a human but to my little fury one too. Thanks so much for the amazing care given day in day out. I really appreciate you.

I was very nervous bringing my rabbit for his castration procedure and I received nothing but support and reassurance from all the staff. They rang me the day before his appointment and explained what was going to happen and how to care for my rabbit before hand. I was able to go in with my rabbit whilst they weighed him and did his pre assessment. The nurse explained everything in lots of detail and was happy to answer any questions I had. She explained what would happen so I was aware what my rabbit was going through. As soon as my rabbit had his procedure they rang me to let me know how he was. On collection the reception staff was lovely. The nurse brought fluffy back to me whilst I waited in the waiting area and she explained everything that had happened and how it went. I was provided with medication which I was told and shown how to use. I was provided with leaflets about the surgery and how to do aftercare properly. I was also told to contact them with any concerns whether it’s small or large and they would help me in any way they could. The day after his operation the vets rang me for an update on how he was and there was an email I could contact for any concerns I had which I used and I got a email back very quickly in detail. All the staff was so helpful and reassuring. I could not thank all the staff at stoneferry vets anymore. I am so pleased from start to finish with my experience. I have taken my rabbit to a few vets before and this is the only vets where he comes home calm and they treat him and look after him very well. I wouldn’t take my rabbit anywhere else.

Dollie, our Cocker Spaniel, needed emergency surgery for a life threatening condition: The vet that we saw was very professional, friendly, efficient and considerate as was the nurse. Dollie's condition and her/our options were explained to us clearly and concisely by the vet. Charges were extremely reasonable. Would highly recommend.

I always feel that the vets, nurses and even receptionists have the welfare of my pets in mind when taking care of them. I always feel the response is appropriate to the illness and I always feel they act with care and urgency. I'm not sure what more I could do as a pet owner to show my deepest gratitude to the hard work and obviously incredible staff you have at your practice. Please make sure they know they do an amazing job - thank you x

My appointment was within a couple of minutes of my time. The vet answered all the questions I asked and explained about the choices of vaccinations. The reception staff were very helpful and helped fill out the forms for the pet plan. Overall quite an enjoyable experience many thanks

I have a dog who gets very nervous at the vets and hides in the corner whilst shaking. The vet/nurse was wonderful and sat on the floor with my dog until he was a bit more comfortable with her and she didn’t try to rush him at all. It’s the first time he has let anyone give him a health check and he didn’t even notice the nurse/vet giving him his injections. I was pleasantly surprised with how well the appointment went. Much better than the previous vet’s practice that we use to go to.

Both our Rabbits are currently registered here, and though you might wonder about the quality of a veterinarian practice within a pet shop, all the staff I've ever had dealings with here are genuinely lovely and care so much about the animals they see. Always a friendly face on reception and the vets themselves are fantastic with our pets. Obviously this practice is aimed at smaller animals due to its size but I can't recommend them enough. Excellent plans available for small animals to help save money on potential visits. Update - pleased to report they're also brilliant with cats. Adopted our ex-stray house cat during lockdown and he's been very happy with his treatment from the vet so far.

Had a very distressing day when I had to have my baby put to sleep but every single person who was there, from vet to nurse to staff in the shop was amazing. I couldn't fault them in any way. I highly recommend this vets to anyone who has a pet and wants them to be treat with care and understanding. I truly believe that the staff care for your fur baby and they care for you too when that, time comes. Thank you to everyone there who put up with my rantings and my tears.
