Went to get clasp looked at not closing fully on bracelet. Lovely people in shop the lady did the repair whilst I waited SUPERB SERVICE AND THEIR WAS NO CHARGE
So... been using this jewellery store for years... around 30+. Recent years they have moved and find the location (within Freshney Place) safe and ideal for shopping. I'm a loyal customer due to the honest service, fair prices (selling and buying) and the huge choice of second hand and new items. Today I met Floss. She was amazing. (As are all the staff I have met over the years) Her manner and friendliness was genuine and it was a pleasure to work with her. She wasn't hard sell... nor did she push expensive options. She listened to my needs and gave me options. I needed up trading in a broken necklace.. offered £25.. happy with that. Then when I agreed the 'deal' she did a back up check... and found the chain was not 9 carrot but 18... so offered £35!!! She could have kept quiet... I was happy with £25... so I think this is a good example of an honest employee and honest firm. I ended up buying a stronger second hand chain... like new. Floss cleaned the cross pendant... which came back looking better than new!!! (And very kindly didn't charge) another reason why I will only buy and sell from here! I then purchased some ear rings for my wife's birthday. Superb service and advice again. I did ask about returning items.. earrings are tricky I know... (have had jewelers seal them to return if seal unbroken.) They don't offer this service on new.. but some leeway on second hand. The manager in the background... a lady who wears a beautiful bow... and I've bought from in the past.. was on call to help. Again... fantastic feeling amd response from a family firm. I can't wait until tomorrow when my wife opens her presents. Thanks to Floss... I think she will be beaming!!! Summing up... the most superb service. Honest and reliable place. Staff overall... always been top notch. And special mention... Floss. You made me and my autistic son feel completely relaxed and normal. I will be back to treat him to the silver or gold ring! Keegan was brilliant with our little jobs - cleaning, fixing and adding ring springs. It's this type of small, inexpensive service that means we come back time and time again for expensive jewellery and advice!
I visited the store this afternoon hoping to buy a birthday present for my partner. The staff couldn't have been more helpful..I asked to see a chain from the window which I was quite taken with. I was asked what sort of thing I was looking for...length..style etc and young man fetched several he thought might be suitable I eventually purchased my original choice which he then gift wrapped for me. Very pleasant experience but no more than I expected from the best jewellers in the town...I've been purchasing from them for years and hope to for many more Thank you Segals you made my trip into town worthwhile x
Segal's jewellers have relocated from the west side of the centre due to the building of the cinema to east side on Friargate, with larger display window footage in the Haven Walk mall

I have been to Segal's jewellers a couple of times whilst I was on holiday at Grimsby brought a lovely ring and bracelet the first time on my second visit my husband brought me another bracelet lovely people in there and good service would definitely recommend
I have always found all the Staff helpful and very friendly, they have always helped me,even though I am a very difficult customer. Not awkward, but can never decide, I always need advice which they are always willing to give. The quality of the stock is excellent and very well priced. I would never go anywhere else for the customer care that you get from Segals the Jewellers.
