    Loved the walk around the reservoir, but some parts of the footpath were impracticable because of the mud and puddles. There are plenty of carparks to use around the lake, all pretty expensive.

    Good easy walk, roughly 15 km. Dogs need to be on lead most of the time, cyclists appear out of nowhere :) Sometimes you can go close to the water, sometimes it's through the woods or by the road. 2 visitor centres, approx half way across each other. Toilets are free and decent. The cafe was a bit disappointing, there was barely anything left by early afternoon, only coffee machines, no alternative milk. Plenty of parking by both, however paid £10 for 4-5 hours, which was annoying as the barrier was up/off upon leaving. Overall it was good for a walk :)

    It maybe just a big reservoir lake, but it's a great place to visit and there's a host of activities to undertake whilst you are there. If you are looking to cycle or walk it's a great place to go visit, the walks and cycle trails provide beautiful views across the waters and there's plenty of wildlife in the area and loads of shade for the hot days amongst the many trees that are in abundance providing an almost woodland walk experience. It's also worth popping into the visitor centre to recuperate with a nice coffee or tea and a cake.
