A clean well organised park with lots of facilities and an easy to pay parking entrance fee (accepts contactless, etc). It's a reasonable price during the winter (Β£2 at time of writing) but can be expensive during the summer. Loved by dog walkers and children.

The park is very well organised. There is a barrier at the front where you pay a small amount for parking for the day. Gor a busy enough day, there were enough parking spaces available. Near the first parking spot there is a lovely and cozy cafe and toilets and you can enjoy a cuppa while watching at the lakes. There are 2 main playground areas for the kids to enjoy and many wooden benches across the park to sit and enjoy the peace. We saw a boat site too. We saw only birds on our journey there, but it stated that otters can also be spotted on the premises of the park. Even in the gloomy and muddy weather that we chose, we were still able to enjoy it a lot!

The parking fee is Β£5.50 payable at the entrance next to a manned barrier. Decent parking spaces and there is a small coffee shop and toilets right next to it and a small outside gym. The first children's playground is opposite the coffee shop. There is a sandpit there and a nice climbing frame. And benches for picnics. The second one is further down the road on the left side. It has more climbing frames, swings, slides.. and benches to sit on. On the right side there is plenty of space for a picnic, a few benches overlooking the lake. And this is as far as we got. There is still a lot more to see and I can't wait to visit again. The weather has been amazing (we were really lucky) and it felt so peaceful here.

pleasant park. various children play areas. can drive round. plenty of green areas for picnics small cafe on site. Β£2 entry out of season is reasonable however the peak time entry is more than Β£4 and could outprice alot of families that would like to visit on a regular basis

The country park is lovely and we've been here for camping quite a few times. But the state of the play parks (the main reason we attended today) are appalling there is litter and animal poo throughout I understand the latter is out of their control but still, litter everywhere weeds growing through most of the climbing frames and not young weeds either, stinging nettles growing through them exposed screws and broken equipment everywhere it is such a shame to see they don't bother maintaining the play areas even with people like ourselves who pay Β£5 just to visit the parks to be constantly watching our little one to make sure she is safe and not picking up used coffee cups and bottles from the cafe.
