Manager has refused to sell an item and almost kicked me out of the shop for trying to purchase a watch out because the item was on sale. It's like she wanted to keep it for someone else or sell it outside the shop to make the profit. Not recommend this shop.
My husband bought me earrings for my birthday, and when I opened the box all I saw was a plastic bag with 2 large stickers stating that if they were taken out of the bags no exchange or refund. I had no choice but to open the bag and disliked the earrings on sight. They are very flimsy with very short posts and tiny butterflies. For £475 I would expect a gold pair of earrings to be of much better quality. Regrettably I will never wear them as I really do not like them, and judging by the look of them they would not last a day. How is someone meant to see a product properly if it's encased in plastic and hidden behind large stickers? I guess that the store will be sure of no returns/refunds or exchanges................. Following the review I have received a response from Ernest Jones Customer service and hopefully a compromise can be reached. Impressed with speedy response.
Daisy is very helpful and kind. She helped me pick the perfect ring and comparing prices of the rings I liked. I have Tourette’s Syndrome and she was very understanding about that. I took my Tissot watch to Ernest Jones to have the battery replaced and paid just under £80 to have this work done with genuine Tissot parts which then comes with a two year warranty. Within 14 months of having this work completed, my watch stopped working. I took the watch back to Ernest Jones to have the battery replaced under warranty. Following a lengthy discussion with sales assistant they eventually agreed to have the work done under warranty. Initially the assistant stated that all batteries only come with a 12 month warranty despite me having paperwork that contradicted this. Within another 14 months the battery has stopped working again. I returned to Ernest Jones to discuss the issue, noting that surely something is wrong with the battery? Should they not last longer considering the price? The assistant refused to be of any assistance. Probably one of the worst customer service experiences ever, especially when my watch was originally purchased from them. I would definitely recommend avoiding!
I visited The Armadale, Manchester store, the lovely assistant Mary was very professional, she was able to show me exactly what I wanted for my 25th wedding anniversary, with no pressure to purchase. However the ring was just beautiful I had to buy it. Thank you so much for your kindness, a really lovely experience. Thank you Mary.
