We visited in winter, so the gardens were not at their best, but still beautuful. The house history was interesting. We didn't have time to do it all so will have to return. Nice lunch in the cafe.

A fabulous English Heritage property. The gardens are beautiful and we managed a beautiful, cold walk in the sun. It would be nice to go back in Spring to see them. There are hidden buildings everywhere. The house was wonderfully decked out for Christmas. There are only a few rooms to see but they are worth it. The decor is amazing. Ask to see the Chinese wallpaper room. Hand painted paper. Incredible. Even comes with it's own vintage graffiti. A wonderful, enjoyable day out

Wow!! What a stunning property to visit. Part of the Heritage group, you can enter with your membership. Great parking onsite (free). Very friendly and welcoming staff. We visited with our dog (so not inside the house), the gardens are simply superb! Absolutely perfectly maintained and good signage, so you can read about the history of every part. Good map guidance at the start too (so you can plan a route). Lovely cafe (great baked potato and cakes, good coffee too), along with good toilet facilities and best of all Dog Friendly (water bowls everywhere - thank you). We spent a couple of hours here and didnt see everything (we will be back). In the gardens though there's a lawn bowls area (with bowls to let you have a go) and even, hidden away, is a ring of greek columns, dating back to the 2nd Century BC!! A place full of surprises and beautiful views.

As a proud member of English Heritage, I love exploring the many historic sites they care for β€” and with over 400 properties under their care, Wrest Park truly stands out as one of the gems! Wrest Park is a fantastic place to visit. The expansive grounds offer endless space to wander and take in the beautiful scenery. If you get tired, an electric buggy service is available to take you closer to the garden entrance β€” very handy! Just be sure to keep an eye out for it, as it’s constantly on the move and easy to miss. The staff were exceptionally friendly and well-informed, making the experience even more enjoyable. The house itself is stunning β€” steeped in history and filled with elegant, detailed rooms that feel like stepping back in time. A heartfelt thank-you to the team for helping me retrieve my lost necklace. They found it the following day and kindly reached out to return it β€” such a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot. With plenty of benches to rest on, peaceful surroundings, and a welcoming atmosphere, Wrest Park is an absolute must-visit for anyone in the area β€” especially if you’re an English Heritage member!

Really lovely day here. The grounds are fabulous with something around every corner. Amazing planted beds and conservatory. Enjoyed the round building at the end of the waterway and seeing the swans take off along the waterway. Great cafe with lots of choice, delicious cakes and tasty pastries. Very kind and helpful staff at every point. Good play area for the children too.

Visited on a frosty and foggy day, still amazed at this beautiful place. Plenty of parking on site. It is an English Heritage site so free entry for members. Lovely little cafe with toilets and gift shop on site. The gardens are stunning with lots of little hidden gems and pathways. The house was open on our visit, although only a few rooms are available for viewing they are still beautiful. There is a nearby wood which can be explored too. Will definitely return in the warmer weather for full exploration of the grounds and to seethe gardens in full bloom. This place is worth a visit, would allow a full day to be able to see everything.

A lovely place to walk the dog and take in the sites. Free to get in if you’re a member of the English heritage. Cafe is not bad and even had gluten free sandwiches for sale. A nice outdoor area to eat and a play area for children. The grounds and buildings are beautiful.

Spent a lovely few hours wandering around this rather stately stately home. You can see the crazy decorations inside the house and then wander around the huge gardens. In the gardens you can find many interesting and beautiful buildings such as an orangery. Has a nice shop and cafe there too.

The gardens are massive and very well maintained. Though you can't find a rubbish bin for love nor money. They sell you a coffee but you have to carry an empty cup with you all around the grounds. Inside is also impressive but there is zero furniture, which makes it a bit of a barren void. Worth a visit though

The main subject is the extensive park, with lovely trees, formal and walled gardens, however the vacant house is impressive in size and architecture. Don't miss the Dairy Sculpture Gallery and Orangery. If you don't have children I would avoid visiting during school holidays as it is very popular with families. Car park, visitor centre, cafe, shop, toilets.
