If I could put no stars I definitely would, I brought some cheese and bacon oatcakes from the shop which were pre packed as I’m sure they come in in the morning fresh, I got home and warmed them up and the smell of the cheese was horrendous and tastes like sweaty feet never again wil I be having these
Ordered from here today excited to get my hole in the wall oatcake with Cheshire cheese and sausage. Order arrived after 1 hour and 30 minutes of waiting. Filling on the oatcake was not what I ordered and tasted very salty. Oatcakes were also cold and sweaty with rubbery cheese. Such a shame I used to love going to the old hole in the wall every week. Safe to say I will not be returning.

I rarely leave reviews, I don't see much point unless the food is phenomenal or absolutely revolting. We ordered through Foodhub which gave 50 minutes for delivery after over an hour we contacted Hole in the wall to be greeted by a lady who was clueless, she didn't ask anyone, she just gave us a half effort response to end the phone call, after another 20 minutes the food arrived, The chips has melted the polystyrene box on the bottom and it had fused with the chips so they had to be binned instantly My daughter took one bite of her food and had to spit it back out The bacon was hard, the sausages were of poor taste, the oatcakes were soggy and it all seemed as though it was cooked in a microwave with little care There was no apology for lateness, there was nothing but a very poor taste left afterwards, if anyone is reading this please steer clear of this oatcake shop, looking at past reviews this establishment clearly isn't what it once was.
We have been to them 3 weeks running & the oatcakes are lovely however the customer service is appalling. Every weeks something was wrong on the order when we got home. My wife called them on Sunday to make them aware that there was a double oatcake missing from the order fully expecting an apology but was instead called a liar, they would not admit to making a mistake and offered no apology. My wife was reduced to tears she was so frustrated when the call had finished.
Ordered at half 9 and came at 11. The oatcakes were like rubber not cooked properly. The breakfast box was soggy and the egg was well over cooked. Will not be ordering from here again. Very disappointed, considering they have used a famouse name and made the food taste terrible. No one can beat the original hole in the wall.
Great oatcakes, great service, clean and bright environment in which to eat.
