I went into the store today picked up what I wanted to buy and went in search of a till, the only ones available was self service. I’ve never used these before but I tried, item wouldn’t scan a kind shopping next to me helped. I paid with a card and didn’t get a receipt as they were 2 security guards stood at the door so didn’t want to leave without one eventually a member of staff came and got me the receipt but it was so embarrassing with a long queue behind me. I’m nearly 80 and was a bad experience.

5 star for the lady who helped me with perfumes. Shame I don’t know her name even tho she attended me like 3 times. All I can say is that she really knows perfumes and how to sell. Such a lovely lady. Helped me trying a few and I ended up buying a Burberry goddess and Varsace crystal noir. Definitely gonna look for her next time I visit. On the other hand, 2 star for the store in general cuz the staff in makeup area doesn’t seem professional. Some of them are really cold and rude. Not in mood to help out the customers.

BEAUTY COUNTERS: Came with my sister to buy a gift and Mellie, a short pale ginger person, apparently a new member of staff, and the other staff at the beauty counter just stand around in a group and talk rather than do their job. Non of the beauty staff wear name tags and refused to give us their names, we saw her name on our receipt. When we paid, Mellie was annoyed my sister used her boots advantage card but I was paying, I transferred the money to my sister so she could pay, we have never in so many years had this problem and even the assistant manager agreed with us, she should have never asked who was paying. Then the Estee Lauder counter had a offer 20% off when you spend Β£70 which we did and refused to give us the discount and refused to serve us. Threatened to bring security when we asked to speak to the manager about their behaviour, they literally gang up on you and shout while you’re surrounded by all the staff. I had paid and went back to ask for gift wrapping and they refused to do it. Horrible, lazy set of girls with no manners. We have never been treated so horribly and treated differently because of our skin colour by staff, it was so patronising. How can you call security when we’ve paid extra for items and asking for some tissue paper. Mellie should not be working there and representing Boots.

I just want to congratulate a young girl in your store on her fantastic customer service. I visited the store today to purchase a powder foundation. I didn't really know what I was looking for but asked a young girl if she could help. She picked out around four or five for me to look at and applied a couple for me to see how they covered. She was so polite and interested in me and not just a sale. Her name was Becca and I would appreciate it if you could pass on my thanks x

considering me and my friend are young girls, we were quite saddened by this. me and my friend had just come from netball, wearing not too much makeup, and simply just wanted a fresh up, as we were a bit disheveled after our game. i simply asked an employee if it was okay for us to have a little bit of makeup put on us, because honestly, we felt quite self conscious. the employee was very flat and quite rude, despite me trying to be nice and respectful. she told us abruptly to speak to another employee. i said the same to the other lady, and she refused to do a bit of light makeup on us, even though i said i wouldn’t mind paying. therefore, me and my friend had to use our bare hands, and do our own makeup crouched down in the store. this made us feel uncomfortable, even more self conscious as the makeup wasn’t done properly, and we felt heavily judged by other employees and customers. disappointing.

It pains me to write a 1 star review as the staff are genuinely helpful, but when this Boots Pharmacy always only have my prescription ready when I've been a few days - upto a week without it, even though I order my prescription upto a week before running out. The last straw for me is when they sent me a message at 6:15pm telling me my prescription was ready to collect yet the store closes at 6pm. The store/pharmacy needs managing properly.

Visited Boots to book a contact lens appointment and buy cologne. Boots have been saved from a one star review by the opticians section who was friendly and efficient, appointment booked, no messing, BOOM!! I then went to the section of the store selling aftershave etc. It was fairly busy but not overwhelming. As per usual all the products was locked away in glass cabinets which I totally understand due to the chav uniform wearing pilfering scumbag element of society that seems to think it is acceptable to steal rather than earn a living and pay for goods. However if you are locking products away at least have the gumption to ensure that the tester bottles of cologne actually have some cologne in them! Four bottles was tried and four bottles was found empty, this was extremely disappointing! Unfortunately it was not possible to get the cabinets unlocked because the one lady serving on the perfume counter was constantly busy with other people on the female side of the perfume department. After a while I decided I'd wasted enough time trying to gain attention and peering into glass cabinets imaging what the cologne inside might actually smell like? Also I was not the only person to walk off with a look of ennui on their face. In my view, if Boots cannot be bothered to correctly run the perfume department then I certainly cannot be bothered to buy any of it from them. If I was store manager I would be asking the question why tester bottles, (the only way potential buyers can choose what they want to buy) are on display but empty causing not only annoyance but giving the appearance of a devil may care attitude similar to that of a tat shop. Pull your socks up Boots and sort this out, how long does it take to fill up or replace tester bottles? Four sales lost including me while was there, at an average of Β£80 pounds equals Β£320! Maybe Boots are earning that much money they can afford to let potential buyers disappear, if that the case maybe they can pass on the wealth to the general public via increased taxes?

Loved it today, lots to choose from and lots of special deals (especially 3 for the price of 2 offers) etc. I took my time choosing some gifts and ended up saving over Β£50 with the offers. Wow! I've also got the value of my points to add to my collection.

Saw Jayne this morning. I had a no7 mini facial which was a lovely bonus. I made my purchases and was advised to call in again in about 4 weeks to see how I'm getting on with the products. Brilliant service thank you.

Nice staff in no7 but just told general floor staff that the till is charging me Β£3 more for something and she just stood and said "err i dunno sorry" and stared at the screen. I really needed it in a rush. Had to buy. Usually when someone mentions a price difference, wouldn't you investigate? She didn't even apologise. I said i needed it and she just walked off to talk to her colleague again...
