   I’m writing this review with genuine disappointment after being a loyal customer of this studio for over 18 months and spending a significant amount of money here. I recently had a pair of “angel fang” piercings done at Pulse. These were placed at visibly poor angles and, more importantly, in a way that was completely incompatible with my anatomy. After consulting my regular piercer — a highly experienced professional — I was advised that my lip structure was not suitable for this type of piercing and that they would never have healed properly. I had no choice but to remove them. What followed was even more concerning. I was told after the procedure that the piercer “hadn’t done some before,” and I later found out the studio had considered this a training procedure — something I was never clearly informed of. This undermines any claim that I was able to give fully informed consent. When I raised my concerns and requested a refund, I was met with a defensive, hostile response. I was told that my complaints were irrelevant, that their CCTV footage with audio would “prove” they’d done nothing wrong, and that they would “show the world” if necessary — despite me clearly opting out of photography and recording on the waiver form. This is a serious breach of trust and data protection expectations. No customer should be made to feel intimidated for speaking up when something goes wrong. I would urge anyone considering a piercing here — especially one that is more niche or anatomy-dependent — to exercise caution. There are better, safer, and more respectful studios out there.

   I've had a couple tattoos done by the fantastic artist here (Sean Stevens), he's super friendly and funny, I've had a great experience every time. Sean's work is outstanding he takes time and care with every client talking about placement size colour and all the other things that go alongside getting a tattoo. I've had several tattoos over the years done by various artists in banbury and his work outshines all of them, I never realised how bad they were until now. If you're looking to get a new tattoo, cover up or an old one needs retouching/fixing make sure you pay him a visit. 10/10 customer service 10/10 environment 10/10 artists will definitely be going back here again ❤️

   I got a couple of piercings done by Kat who was absolutely wonderful. All the piercings are done super well and the piercers here have excellent knowledge and integrity. Plus, they have some really good jewellery options for both fresh and healed piercings. I'll definitely be coming here for all my future piercings!

   Ever since I discovered Pulse on a random visit to Banbury, I make it the only destination that I visit for any piercings that I require. Not only is a shop really hygienic, the staff are knowledgeable, really nice and kind. They are patient fun, and make the piercing experience a very quick and painless one regardless of where you’re being pierced. I always go to Lana (that’s Alana.) She is wonderful and worth the 2 1/2 hour drive there. Cannot recommend too highly.

   We took our 9 year old for her ears to be pierced and I cannot say enough good things about this place. They took their time to talk us through what would happen, which jewellery options there were and all relevant safety advice. We liked that they also spoke directly to our daughter to make sure she knew everything. My daughter was immediately put at ease and the attention to detail to ensure exact symmetry was amazing. Very little pain with the needle and the whole experience was exceptional. Brilliant aftercare advice and ongoing support if needed. Thank you so much.

   Highly recommend Pulse for ear piercings, I found them from the great Google reviews and so glad I did. The staff were really friendly and helpful, very calm and explained things in detail. Really professional and felt in safe hands. Read some not so great reviews on other businesses and was reassuring to read all the good ones for Pulse who do things properly and very hygienically. I went back there recently when my relatively new piercing came out after the back had unscrewed (nothing to do with the work of Pulse!) and I lost the earring back. A different lady dealt with me and was so great, taking time and care to sterilise the seat and all around it for me just to check the piercing, put on a new back and even cleaned around the piercings for me. Would highly recommend!

   This place is great I keep coming for more and more piercings! The staff is helpful, makes you feel relaxed and provides complete privacy during sessions. So far I had my nostril, septum, smiley and nipples pierced at the Pulse and there were no problems with healing as the jewellery and procedures were spot on.
