“Sought psychological therapy intervention after some issues around anxiety and depression, that in turn impacted on aspects of life. Needed help in working out what was happening and how to best deal with issues. I am grateful to Dr.Gillan for treating my approach with the utmost sensitivity and for carefully and professionally helping me to understand what was going on and more importantly, how to improve the situation. It's never easy to discuss such issues openly but Dr. Gillan was absolutely discreet and non-judgemental and took a genuine interest in helping me to get back on track. Highly recommended.”

“Staff at the Beaumont Ward Try their best to help and care for you, I understand that after being here for a while, They only lock you in a room to help you and others if you are angry with the staff and you hit them, they only lock you in a room to protect other patients and staff and to help you, so you can calm down, they dont like to lock you in a room if it can be helped. Now I realise they are only trying to help and care, I think the staff here at the Beaumont Ward are Amazing, it may not seem like they are always helping you, but they are, but I understand they dont just have me to help they have lots of other patients, and also lots of work they have to do in the office, so I understand now, they are very kind and helpful and try to help you, and when you are kind and caring back they will start to trust you, they might not understand fully how Im feeling at the moment, but they still try the best to help me when they can and they spend time with you and talk to you when they are not busy. They try the best to understand how you feel, but its not always possible for them to know how you are feeling. I find the staff here helpful and kind and caring, and a nice Ward Manager who is kind called Jessie, and although I might look happy, at the moment the truth is, I feel sad, and heartbroken, wish I could go back to the past and fix things, but Its not that simple, and so Rather than hurting the staff because I understand they are trying to help me Im going to respect that and be kind and caring to them now the rest of the time Im here, and I want them to start trusting me, but Im not telling them something that maybe I should tell them, but if I am still here in a few weeks they will find out what it is Im not telling them, and I know it might not be the right thing that Im doing and will do in a few weeks, but either way, Im going to respect them as they only try to help and be kind and caring to them. Im not going to hurt the staff anymore as its not fair when they are only trying to help, if anyone, I will only hurt myself as I dont particulary care about myself, but I do care about others and not just others, I care about animals and pets, but not myself. I can keep all my feelings trapped inside my body like I have done in the past and pretend to be happy, but Im not feeling happy, but I will always be a kind caring person no matter how I feel, and the staff deserve to be treated with respect, they come here to work everyday and to try their best to help you. They are very friendly and kind, so Im going to try and stay out the way as much as possible as I understand they are busy have lots of other patients to care for and lots of work to do not just me. Good staff here!!!!! And a good hospital, and a good ward, you feel safe when you are here.”
